Best game I can remember him having in a United shirt.

I think Smith-Rowe is the sort of player he can handle because he's more of a cute footballer and doesn't really try to take full backs on 1 on 1.

Not sure I fancy him against Zaha on Sunday given what Danjuma did to him but on tonight's performance he probably deserves to keep his place.

Brilliant game. Huge potential and hope he gets games under his belt. Much better than whatever AWB has provided us until now.

Better than Bissaka has been this season. Refreshing to see a RB who doesnt move like a robot, has a touch of a R and could cross the ball

Thought he was excellent. There's a good player in there... maybe not elite, but he should be used more than he is.

Got to say , that was the best I’ve seen him play, seemed like he was more composed today. Worth another game on Sunday to see if he can string a couple of top performances together.

He was horrendous against Villarreal at OT and I wasn't confident when I saw he'll be starting this game but much better than expected. Well done

Shocked at how good and composed he was today.

We will see how he get's on. Consistency is the key as usual. However, good performance from him today.

Agree, solid game. Both fullbacks played well! I would like him to get a run of games now.

Did well. Superb pass for the second goal, I was worried he hadn’t seen it but he executed perfectly.

could cross the ball
Did he cross the ball once? Great pass for the second goal but I imagine people would be completing about attacking if Wan Bissaka played like that. He wasn’t a complete disaster though so that’s progress.

First time I can remember being impressed with him. Thought he did very well today, in both ends of the pitch.

With AWB being piss poor defensively this year, I think Dalot has to start atm. At least then you get another poor defensive fullback that's actually comfortable on the ball. His pass with his left to release Rashford for Ronaldo's 1st was fecking brilliant and something Bissaka would never pull off.

Its harsh to expect that from players, if you're not actually giving them a run of games to settle first. He's never had that at the club.

Surprisingly good performance from Dalot. Got in some decent tackles and lovely pass in the build-up to Ronaldo's first goal.

Credit where it’s due, he looked comfortable and contributed to the win. Interesting to see if he can kick on, the position is there for the taking.

Probably his best all round performance for us. It will suit him a lot more with us playing a front foot pressing game I think. Hopefully he takes instructions well from Rangnick and contribute more than he has so far.

Was terrified when saw he was starting after the Villarreal game but probably one of his best games for us. Given himself a chance under the new manager now.

Expecting big things under Rangnick for him and Telles, both look better than what we've been putting up with this season. Ole deserved sacking for sticking with Shaw and AWB alone

Looking over my shoulder.
Pleasantly surprised by him today. Very good on the ball, some nice passes. His defensive positioning was much better than what we've seen from AWB this season. He also looked faster and one a couple of runs down his side. Get him into some good crossing positions!

Played quite well and was good defensively. Would worry about him against someone like Zaha on the weekend though.

One of his better performances for us, which I know is a low bar but still.

No way, miles off. He's awful defensively. Tonight was just a very nice game for him. If he could play Arsenal every week he'd be alright.
I disagree with you.

His positioning is a million miles ahead of Wan Bissaka's.

One of those players who are good but inconsistent. People always remember the bad games but not the good ones. His potential is higher than AWB
he's pretty consistentnly not good enough for every good game, he's got 5 bad ones, and it's not an exaggeration however, he had a decent game for his standards. Maybe Ralph can still teach him how to defend, would be a master piece to turn him into something worth keeping tbh.

On the other hand we might have a big problem with AWB if he doesn't progress, that fullback game has been really subpar this season and on the right hand side over years, we certainly need our fullbacks to fire on all cylinders, but good coaching can do wonders I suppose

Didn't know he had that in him. Deserves a run of games now. Every player should get the chance to prove themselves.

Games like that are where you can slowly see why he had such a big fee and reputation at youth level. I’m not sure how long AWB is out for but I think he has a chance to make something here under Rangnick

Unexpectedly good in all phases of play. I was pretty sure that even with Wan-Bissaka's poor form Dalot still doesn't have it in him to replace him full time but if he keeps this up... Hopefully it's not another false dawn.

So there is potential there! Did well, hope he can keep it up as it’s way better than AWB

He was rated by some pretty knowledgeable people before he signed. He joined us at a very difficult time. Who knows what he could become in the right setup.
