We have to cease with Fred and Matic. Have to. Too slow and too wasteful. At this stage in the season we should play those that are desperate to show who they are. What else is there to do?.

The first goal they scored was avoidable. The 2nd one, I can't complain, they got lucky with the deflection. Matic still should have tried to cover it earlier.

Disappointing result but we played much better than the FA cup. Poor management though. Players were wrecked by 70 minutes and then a couple were carded.

But if he brings on donny for elanga instead of sancho we win.

If you had said beforehand it would finish 2-2 and we would play much better i would have taken it. I wanted to see an improved performance which for 75 minutes i did.

Should have seen it out though.

Should have brought Donny on when we went 2-0 up to try and control the game and see it out.

No idea why we wouldn’t do that, Cavani was knackered as usual after 60 mins so sub him. Matic was knackered so put another midfielder on to help.

No idea what these managers are paid to do.

After realizing (and making the point to mention it post match) Monday that we were much more in control when adding Donny to the middle, Ralf proceeds to wait until they draw (and then some...) to do so again.

Should have put him on latest at 2-1 goal.
No, at 2-0. Edison was pony. Take him off, Elanga left and Greenwood up top, hit them on transition and go long for the quick lads.

I just hate this team, every single one of them are pathetic. I think RR talks so much crap, nothing about this lot has improved since Ole left. We look like we are chasing shadows, can only play 30 minutes and to think this lot are the highest earners in the league, they are literally steeling our money for a jolly. Playing anybteam right now makes me nervous, and this is the easiest run we would have had all season. 10 points behind third, 3 behind 4th, spurs have two games on us and are a point above, it does not look good at all.

But, but ragnick has made us better defensively...... inevitably we have leaked goals the minute we came up against a good side instead of all the previous relegation fodder we luckily faced under ragnick

We have the look and feel of a team that challenges for the positions 7th-12th in the league every year.
Its so demoralising to watch. We need to get the manager choice right and start building something.

Signs of improvement are there but defensively we're an absolute mess. Matic is a grass-fed well done steak, as dead as a dodo.

One thing I won’t be doing is criticising the manager. Fragile out and form players all through the squad.

30 good mins and we were done.

Don't think we are capable of any better.. it is what it is.. a poor team playing poor football .

We have nothing else. We have to buy a new midfield, there really isn’t another way of looking at it. They lack lots of key abilities to play at the top level consistently and every single game their flaws are exposed.

Cake or Death?
Good start, but then we let them find their rythm. Needed to make subs 15 mins earlier at least as it was clear we were tiring.

It was Villa not Barca or Bayern. WTF will happen when we play a good team. First half ok, second half shite. Two goals from Villa mistakes, not created. I think Middlesbrough will do a job in us in the cup too. Totally embarrassed.

Trust the process v6.6

As a side, Matic isn't good enough to be on the bench imo

Our midfield might as well have not been there towards the end. And we had Fred and Cavani (who was gassed) up top towards the end. Needed better game management to see that out, it all became a bit shambolic.

I do think there was better signs though. I'm pleased to see some progress, we were like a normal team for 30 minutes or so.

Spurs with 2 games in hand to possibly go 7 points clear now.
Rangnick ain't good enough and Conte is going to make our board pay dearly for their absolute stupidity and cowardice.

Absolutely shite. Woeful mentality. Players banging the ball back to a keeper from our corner. Trying to take the sting out of the game when we’re only 1-0. The first Villa goal sums us up. Walked through until Fred panics and sets up a goal with a rash last ditch feck up. So many absolute wasters.

It was obvious we wouldn't win here after what happened on Monday
You can't play like shit for the most part of 180 minutes and expect two wins.
I knew VDB wasn't going to get a start, I'm wandering what's the point of bringing him on to play 5-10 minutes every time

Ralf has had one of the easiest list of fixtures imaginable and still can't do anything with this United team. The midfield is dire, which was perfectly obvious last season and during the summer.

Not bad before 60th mins, but the players exhausted after 60th mins.
Matic position should be upgraded and it will look batter of this formation.

I don’t know how to draw the game. Matic, Fred and Cavani is dead tire. Alex would put Jones in for Matic. I remember Jones played DM when he was in Blackburn and early part of his career. Ralf talks about controlling the game. I only saw control like first 15-20mins because Villa was crap. Mid table team, hope we get a world class coach and back him.

Yeah I'm not watching united for a few weeks. Making me too depressed. Just a club full of morons.
