He's naturally a selfish player. Unlike Rashford, he plays with his head up. He just refuses to release it in dangerous positions. Like a poor man's Salah.

I'm not seeing this 'generational talent' everyone speaks of. We looked more dangerous after he got hooked. Needs to warm the bench for a while.
He did some special things for a player his age in the past. Right now he just isnt in the best of form.

He did track back well today though, wasnt lazy but he it would he nice if he didnt shoot on sight all the time. Must be some leftover Ole instruction....

Should have passed the ball which he got from Bruno. Ronaldo was free.

Needs some bench time.

I mean he's constantly playing out of position. Out wide he's just going to be a bit limited always. I do think he's a generational talent up front, but obviously that isn't going to happen this year.

Don't overthink it, just shoot. This is where he shines.

He'll be okay, though. In many matches he was our only hope and he'll be needed.

Needs managed for a while. Off the bench like rashford has been doing.

Very poor for a while now.

Needs the Rashford treatment and dropped for the next 3 games. I fecking can't stand selfish players who think they're some kind of maverick.

Literally didn't play well, but he did score.
He did, he’s a good player I think he did well today too. He takes people on and he’s composed on the ball, I just think people on this forum hate players that shoot, it’s weird.

Literally played well and scored the other day.
I know he scored but I don't think he's been playing that well.

He was so so good before this season. He's not got anywhere near that level yet. I think he's potential to be one of the best in the world. You can tell he's lacking confidence and just doesn't do the simple things at times.

Showed great work rate to get back at bowen from that counter which I'm sure RR will take notice off.

I'm a huge fan but he was poor today, he's going to have to play more for the team and competition is on for those wide roles.

I think Ralf will be more accepting of the fact that it’s incredibly difficult to play against a team like West Ham. As you say he tracked back well, and he mostly keeps the ball and moves it well. He shoots when he’s close to goal but that’s not a bad thing for me.

Wasn't great.

Doesn't matter whether he's on the right or the left he seems to want to cut back inside, he's too greedy, his first thought seems to be about getting a shot away.

Needs to get his head up and improve his awareness. The first chance today he should be slotting that across to Ronaldo.

Two managers play him on the right. Maybe he is exactly being not out of position? At least until he develops his physicality a bit more.

Also his selfishness like that won't help anyone either if he plays on CF especially people want a CF who can link.

Would it kill him to make a pass when he's in the box?

Learn from Cavani squaring it for Rashford. Open your eyes.

I desperately want to see Sancho starting on the right in this formation. The Mason experiment out wide has failed. He needs to be used as an impact sub as a centre forward.

Needs a couple of games on the bench and some hammering every day with what to improve. He wont reach the top, his mentality isnt there. Success and cockiness came too soon. Worrying.

He should be on his way to becoming a complete striker but we didn't teach this kid a damned thing besides running and shooting. Now that he isn't getting the ball in those positions it's like playing with 10 men.

Poor these last couple of games. Needs benching.

I don't like how we've developed Rashy and him. They're not wingers and they're not CFs either.

We really need a coach that can improve all these young talents we have. Preferably a bald one.

Agree. I'd start Sancho ahead of him every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Far superior talent, it's not even close.
When has he proven to be better for United? Sancho has had like 1 good game for us so far and generally been on par with Greenwood today for the rest of his performances. Greenwood is appreciated by Ralf and is in the team as he’s been the best option available to him. I’d prefer if he was played as a striker, but with Ronaldo here it’s not going to happen.

I don't think those claims are based on anything he's done at United and more what he did at Dortmund, which is a very different environment and a league made for attacking players to blow up their stats. I'm sure Greenwood would be a monster there after some time as well.

Feels like he has all the ability in the world just doesn't really know how to use it. He knows he's good at cutting in so just keeps doing it.

Poor today and becoming clear he is not a winger.

Hopefully the next manager uses as the backup striker next year, let him develop his game there, to keep playing him on the wing will hurt his development. One assist this season for the amount of time he has played is not good enough; and that's not even getting his runs, work rate etc.

His best asset is his finishing in around the box, time to give him a chance there and see what he can do.

It's interesting how the Fergie blueprint for developing forwards has been an utter failure since Fergie left.

In any case pay attention: Greenwood will be at a lower midtable PL club in 5 years. Probably Everton if I had to guess. He isn't going to make it.

It's still too soon to say anything definitive, not every one progresses in a linear fashion, and I don't know that it's bad for his development to be on the wing for now. I think it will help him when/if he eventually moves to the center forward spot
