As expected then.

It was obvious from the moment they threw all their eggs in Sue Gray’s basket that they were going to be in complete control of the release of the report.
I don't think it'll matter too much if they do go that route. I'm fairly confident Cummings has a lot of evidence piled up as it seems other Tories are using him to leak what they know. The Tories will claim a victory then a few days later once they've doubled down on it we'll have the real news.

The only ones defending Boris are the nutters like Fabricant which is always a telling sign.

Only one poll but down to single digits

There's always a worry with these story that in the end the general public just get bored and go back to the same voting patterns.

+4?!?!? The British public are embarrassing, memories of a goldfish, none of this matters, the tories can go around stabbing babies but Kier starmer will drip some ketchup onto his tie a week before the election and that will be that.

Did he know that it was a party though?
It was a surprise party so clearly he has no responsibility for it. He left as soon as he realized it was a party and against the rules, which was just after he finished his cake. :nervous:

To be fair mate he didn’t know it was against his rules.

After the surprise party he then apparently hosted more people upstairs in No.10.

Yeah he's done. He's not going to survive the Grey report.

The takedown has been wonderfully professional. I'm assuming it was Cummings behind it all. The timing of each release has been just exquisite.

You know it’s bad when there’s literally nothing that could come out and surprise you anymore.

The rabbit hole, where does it even go now? :|

Kinda jealous of his social life. Imagine just turning up for a regular working week and then SURPRISE! IT'S ANOTHER PARTY!

I'm sure it wears off after, like, a week.

I was really sceptical that there was much fun to be had with this story when we first started with it in November or whenever but I really was wrong. It's been very good.

Starmer and others pushing for him to go….Surely the conservatives will only become more competent once he’s gone.

I’ve said all along, Johnson is the gift that keeps on giving. It’s like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.

This is party wide corruption from the Tories, they should be targeting the entire party including attacking Sunak who lives next fecking door to all these parties.

Have you seen who they have got to choose from to be next PM?
Genuinely think the next leader of the Tories before Sunak is going to be Gove. He’s been a useful idiot his entire career and he’s always got on well with Murdoch. There is 2+ years until the next election and there’s an A20 worth of lorries full of shit that someone has to take responsibility for before then.

The other front runners are all going to be rabid Brexiteers from the cabinet and none of who are in any way electable.

I want to say that the electorate will not be fooled a third time by the fawning press as they try and dress up the next incompetent moron as some sort of world leader, but with UK politics feck knows how it'll play out.

And yes, I'm saying that Cameron was competent. Compared to May and Johnson he was Lloyd George.

That’s a good way of saying it. Also, I now won’t be able to mentally separate Boris and a goose

Look Boris sets a seriously high bar here. There’s genuinely very few contenders that have the capacity to be so awful. You can try all you want, but some people are just naturally born with it

But they can’t say “keep Johnson as it benefits Labour”. They have to follow the public pressure.

Also, the tories were stabbing him in the back at some point anyway, this way the incoming leader doesn't get the bounce just before the next election. And also has to be in charge of the incoming cost of living crisis.

Cameron - May - Johnson - Mr Bean - Mr Blobby - Me?
On second thoughts I might actually be too competent. First time for everything
