How can Ralf have an important behind the scenes role and at the same time have feck all influence on who stays?

not that it even matters, player performances and overall behavior will still have consequences, interim manager doesn’t mean players have a free pass to do whatever they want.
From all accounts he's been asked to take an interim managerial role with a responsibility of auditing the team and the club to an extent, with the aim of later moving upstairs.

Ralf has continually said he's given feedback to the board regarding the squad and by the looks of the performances it would seem that most of the squad don’t like what he's said. The cushy times are all but over and the players are having to deal with the harsh reality of no longer having all the power. Ralf's been pretty open about United's poor recruitment and how all these players don't fit any one system, which mean's they have to go, so a bunch of them probably feel unfairly targeted for reasons out of their control.

All this accumulates in the current state of joint apathy we have at the club, and if this wasn't the case one of the players agents would have called him out by now.

You think there's a manager in world football who can get a tune out of this lot for only 6 months? They run the joint and have no desire to listen to someone who won't be coaching them at the end of the season.

Can't take anything this spoofer says or does seriously when he keeps picking Maguire game after game after game.

Talks a great game but he doesn’t help himself, his selections are fecking awful.

Should have bedded the likes of Hannibal in weeks ago instead of picking Lingard and Pogba who are leaving in a month or so

You could do better with the squad as it is?
Id have Pogba, Lingard etc nowhere near the starting 11 knowing they’re leaving in a matter of weeks and what the feck is Phil Jones starting a game for United in 2022.

He should have been giving minutes to the likes of Hannibal weeks ago

I feel for him at this moment. There’s not a thing he can do, not a single player he can rely on to stop this slaughter.

You've got to love our gegenpressing.

Fecking hell, heard a lot about it, never seen it. It's amazing considering the hype...

Fair but I would never start Hannibal or Garnacho in the game today. It's just not fair on them.

Pogba and Lingard deserve this.

He might be/probably is a poor coach but the players are an absolute disgrace.

The problem is they just don’t care, in fact I can see them laughing about the result later tonight

Toxic the lot of them

The Man United team who downed the tools for Mourinho actually had more fighting spirit in them than these clowns. Well, at least they gave us the Newcastle 3-2, Chelsea 2-2 and Juve 1-2 games.

The current lot loses against big teams before even stepping on the pitch. Once they go down it's over.

That's the current Man United team : a bunch of pathetic tools who have no fighting in them.

Getting this underqualified guy from America set the tone for his stint, the lack of coaching in this team is even more apparent now than it was under Carrick and McKenna.

Clueless all over the pitch in almost every game.

That's such bollocks, it really is.

Dean Smith took over Norwich rock bottom of the league with a bunch of Championship players and they haven't been humiliated like this.

Rangnick isn't fit coach our U9s, he's an absolute fraud.

If Ten Hag watches our lot playing like this, he'll change his mind and sign a new contract with Ajax.

Can't shake the feeling he's yet another manager walking straight into his doom to ruin his career here.

Sorry but Rangnick gets a pass from me. The players at this club are a disgrace and I will celebrate each and every one of them leaving.

I don't care how good Ten Hag is; if he's forced to go in to next season with the majority of this squad he's screwed. His reputation will go down the pan like Ralf's.

This is easily the worst season I can ever remember. I feel for Rangnick, he was a terrible fit for this squad from the very start. However he’s managed to take a set of players with zero confidence to begin with and sucked any remaining life from them. It’s been a masterclass in how not to manage a squad.

The guy is an over hyped clown. He has improved exactly nothing. So many sycophants on here trying to apologise for this fool. Shite football, no improvement, more of the same.
I'm not saying he's good.

But noone in the world could make anything with them.

Where are the leaders on the pitch? Where's the fight?

Spineless prima Donna's.

Needs a full tear down.

Exactly zero players should be safe.

No way you can blame him at this point. The players should be ashamed of themselves, neither of them cares or is professional enough. Bunch of idiots on the pitch.

Why are you blaming Ralf? Is it so difficult to understand that players don't care at all?

Keep playing players that are leaving and jogging around the field is sending the wrong signal.

You can't convince me playing players from U23 can be worse.
