I'll slap every single one of them.

Actually not booing them means you're a rival fan at this point.

Booing them is necessarily needed so the club hierarchy knows that fans want most of these lot out of the club. Something has got to give. They need to know that this is the lowest the club can go before the fans’ patience breaks.

This could be the first season where a final day lap of honour could pose a genuine security risk

Folks have to go to work with Liverpool fans today. Sure, it may not be the right thing to do, but booing the pieces of tripe that lost 4-0 to Liverpool is possibly the most human reaction ever.

It works.
He was going to leave anyway. But, even so, I'd never boo a United player.

All it can possibly achieve is to lower his confidence or lower the asking price when we want to sell him on. Both cases result in us cutting off our nose to spite our face.

He's been free to sign for a new club for the last few months. He's been needing a new challenge since 2 years ago. What exactly is holding him back?
The fact that no top clubs want him at the cost Raiola is demanding.

Which is why us booing him is so fecking worthwhile if it stops that mega deal we offered being his fallback option.

Image saddling ETH with a £450k-a-week tombstone around his neck in the shape of Pogba. He'd have no option but to shoe horn him into his plans. His United tenure would be ruined before it even began. Booing Pogba might literally be the thing that saves us from that reality.

tbf at this point, I find it completely pointless to boo the players.

Their morale is at an all-time low and booing will just add more to the problem instead of being a solution since most of them just don't have the mentality to bounce back from all the negativity and criticism surrounding them and the club.

The best for us and most of them is that they just go somewhere else. That way the club can start fresh with players that actually want to be here and they can try to either recover their morale back or play in a team that is more at their level.

Its a funny old game
Those players are paid multiples of millions to represent our fans ( who pay their wages?) and our club. If they play shite while showing a complete lack of effort why shouldn't they be booed? It's gone too far now. Get rid of these substandard embarrassing players. What happened last night needs calling out! They should be deeply ashamed!

They have been awful for the whole season. They were even clapped during the 0-5 humiliation. They should be booed from the first second. The don't deserve a 50th chance.

Its clear he hasnt found a club willing to pay what he's asking, thats why I fear he'll renew. Hopefully we arent as braindead to do that, but it wouldnt surprise me one bit if we did.

In my experience today was a bit like Souness last night. We made it to easy that they were nearly feeling sorry for us and I didn't get any slagging but more sympathy.

Not sure if that's worse to be honest

I think it's mandatory to boo or be loud if a player, who doesn't respect the shirt and badge. Also, if they are shite, then it's totally fine to speak up. Because... don't be then. Get yourself together, handle the pressure, deal with it. You get paid obscene amount of money and fans booing are affecting your mental strength? Maybe then you need to find another profession, another football club where standards aren't that high or... get yourself together.

The main problem with United fans is that we tend to be too polite and give too much room for players, the board and staff. United is meant to play in finals, compete for trophies, not that kind of crap which we have seen during last 10 years. It's standards and standards and its following make the difference between bad, okay, good, great and elite club. Easy.

If some of our players were playing for Madrid, they'd have been booed so badly they'd be hiding under rocks and coaches would be afraid to pick them in training matches.

Why would I pay money to boo a player on a team I want to do well?
Because you want them team to do well and said player could be standing in the way of that. Poor form is one thing, no effort and an elitist attitude is another, and don't expect to get away with the later.

We should have done this bloody year's ago and not just with players but managers as well, I wish we adopted a barca/madrid fans mentality of never accepting standards to drop.

We have been way too easy on everyone from top to bottom.of the club as fans

Who now gives a toss about their morale!!

We should let ‘em have both barrels - they deserve no more - charlatans in red shirts. I couldn’t give a shite about their on-going careers, value in the market, precious fragile egos. They signed the daft contracts they were given by our thick board but that does not give them the ‘get out’ by default of downing tools and further sullying the name of our club.

If they played for ANY other ‘huge’ club they would have got it from their fan bases on match days months ago. They can all feck off - the sooner the better…unrealistic I know but they don’t seem to realise that putting in a shift and showing desire is the bare minimum from a footballer let alone a footballer at our so called elite level.

Agreed. We have fans who are happy for the club to be a charity for overpaid players.

Yep. Some weirdos think these players should be supported no matter what. Applaud and cheer their laziness, give them pay rises, roll out the fecking red carpet because they wear the red shirt... Sod that. Boo them and get them out of the club

It works.
Not as hurt as us fans have been watching him collect a weekly wage that most take a decade to earn whilst performing at piss poor levels for pretty much the whole of the past 5 years and costing a world record fee, feck him and good riddance to him and his fat cnut agent.

Or it could shake these wasters out of their hubris-infused lethargy and actually encourage the board to sell them when there is a chance to do so (see Lingard, Jesse, aka the man-child who posted a picture of himself in another team’s jersey.)

Never!

I generally hate the hetz some United fans have had against the players in recent times. I find it embarrassing and unintelligent. I can mention Lingard, Fellaini, Jones, Lukaku, Maguire, Rashford and Shaw as some examples, where the line has been crossed. I think it's an unhealthy and aggressive fan culture. It's okay to criticize a player for a poor performance, but the criticism becomes too personal and unvarnished. It becomes more hate. I think one should try to support the players as much as possible. For example, I'm not a big fan of Dalot. I think he's the worst fullback United have had in many years. But I could never think of booing him or getting hateful in my statements about him on a fansite.

Support mediocrity?

Fans have been way too soft. To the point that players think it's okay to play poor and mug us off.

Just not acceptable and I'd say the fans are more than entitled to boo when the players aren't putting in a shift. Many fans give up hours in travelling to attend and spend alot (to them) to enjoy the day only to see the team not care.

Feck the players and their feelings, I'll always love and support the club but those players (with exception to the few that can hold their heads high) should rightfully be boo'd. Can't believe the state of some fans, let's applaud, cheer and clap the side that make no effort. Reward the team for just turning up and rolling over for a spanking.

Give your head a wobble...Jesus.

It's not my thing, but if the club's perception of a player does not align with the fans, i do feel the fans need to be heard out.
ie: players running down their contracts with less than 6 months left, playing sh*t and blocking youngsters are fair game.

After the booing of Maguire for England this week the irrational hating if Pogba and Rashford from some United fans and the ever growing toxic nature of our own fanbase I can this happening more and more.

Would you be happy with our own players being booed like this and would you even do it yourself?
Nope. I’ll criticise players for not being good enough, or for not having the right mentality, even managers but I won’t boo them on the pitch. Because at the match I’m going to support Manchester United, booing a player or manager is booing part of what I’m going to support.

But don’t get me wrong. Maybe booing is correct. The teams whose fans do it get criticised but those teams don’t end up having 10+ year rebuilds.
