For a small guy Jota gets a ton of headers off, reminds me of Aguero in that way.

How many crosses into the box in spite of having a front 3 of hobbits?

Newcastle started well, but since the goal they’ve dropped off massively. ASM can be very, very frustrating

Liverpool better but gifted goal. Wood needs to Come on for Newcastle to battle with Liverpool CB.

Im listening to the "kick off" because I don't like the local commentary and the "True Geordie" guy thinks he's brilliant at times but frustratingly brainless.

Halftime. Newcastle were too wide open which was a mistake. Milner put a shift in with the key tackle of the match and now I think Fabinho comes in kind of early to hopefully close it out.

Be good if Newcastle could get the ball under control properly so sloppy on the ball with poor first touches allowing Liverpool to press them so easy. Is it windy in Newcastle today or something?

This is a 2-0 Liverpool game, Newcastle will huff and puff, Liverpool will control and eventually put it to bed.

I know the hate and all but so much bizzare stuff is being posted here. Please stop with the stupid conspiracy theories and how can anyone say Pool play ugly fotball ? Like come on ? If United played anything like that every fan would praise it for being the best there is.
Don't be a buzzkill, irrationally hating on your rival is at least top 3 in what makes being a football fan fun.

Newcastle with 28% possession and one shot on target. Is that the best effort they can give in front of their home support?

He's been in Liverpool's pocket for years mate.
Im just commenting on what I've been watching for 45 minutes, hes been doing alright.

Id be lying to disagree with you over him being in their pocket, I don't keep up with referees attitude towards teams, but I'll take your work on it.

Such a helpless feeling watching Liverpool. Competing for every trophy, change half the team in a vital away league game and still stroll to a win.

No fatigue, no drop-off, just extreme commitment and determination every week. Fecking revolting.

I'll put my head on the block here and say that, as a (relatively) neutral, the "the refs are biased towards Liverpool, they are using PEDs bla bla" takes away a lot of what makes this the best football forum in the world. If any of you lot seriously mean this, and it isn't just a coping mechanism because United are shit, I feel sorry for you. The ref has been excellent in this game, and there's no data indicating a bias towards Liverpool in particular when it comes to VAR. Does VAR get everything right? No, but that is the case for all teams. It just gets more attention because it is Liverpool.

I look forward to the day when Manchester United are serious challengers again, and this forum hopefully will enjoy football a bit more. Also, it makes for a far better rivalry for football than the historically irrelevant and economically unethical ManCity.

All right, that is my weekly rant quota used. Enjoy your weekends, lads.

Its comparable to SAFs best fotball which every fan loved.
No chance.

Coincidentally, I was flicking through MUTV earlier and ended up watching the second half of the 2009/10 League Cup Semi-Final second leg v City. We were absolutely toying with them with our passing and movement, and that certainly wasn’t a vintage United team.

I was actually watching it thinking we’ve seen nothing like it from a United team with years and there’s no way this Liverpool team are that stylistically impressive. It’s pretty much hoof, run, run, run, pinball, second ball, scramble a chance in the box, rinse and repeat. They were better on the eye under Rodgers and the early Klopp years, but not anymore, IMO.

They're all shit, but like Atkinson with Chelsea marriner always seemed to make strange decisions in favour of the scousers.
Or maybe I just notice them more due to my hatred of Liverpool.

The commentary fawning over it too. I had a stream with Jim beglin on it, just plain nauseating.

I think Klopp has changed them a bit. Feel like they have become more dependent on the quality of individual play, like a brilliant Robertson cross to far post etc.

Then again that might just be a by product of facing park the bus defenses.

Shelvey is a poor footballer. I genuinely don’t know how he plays at this level never mind captains them. He’s be an upgrade priority if I was Howe

I just hope Burnley smash Watford later. Would be absolutely hilarious watching Fat Frank drag Everton into the Championship.

Newcastle need to get asm on the ball near the box. He can beat a man or two but four or five is too much

Henderson/Milner reminds me a lot of Fletcher/O'Shea. Bog standard players elevated a few levels by simply being part of a great team, not to mention the instruction of a genius coach.

If Liverpool coast to another win it's hugely impressive, and ominous.

According to TalkShite, Milner doesn’t stay down unless he’s really injured. What a load of bollocks. He’s learnt to cheat just like the rest of his teammates.

I don’t see how that isn’t a foul - I mean no one’s complaining but the keeper gets the ball and Jota studs him in the thigh.

Has it been said why the Spurs game next Saturday is so late? Why isn't it a 12:30 KO?
