Superb performance, a real captain's display even though he wasn't wearing the armband.

Will be very sad if he goes but would be understandable. Hope he gets the twenty premier league goals.

I do not believe this to be true.
Well, what do you say now?

I mean who knows how he will play here under ETH? It is just bs that any player let alone Ronaldo would not enjoy or be more effective when the team can retain the ball and create a lot more.

To be fair, most of the sources saying that he's leaving are ones that you'd associate with utter tripe. These are the same ones that are saying Ten Hag desperately wants to keep Lingard and Rashford etc.
He doesn't look like a player that wants to leave, just someone who's had a really tough time lately and has had a lot going through his mind.

'tis a silly place
I think/am quite sure he's off. But it was nice for Old Trafford to have a chance to say thanks/goodbye, which wasn't the case last time.

It felt like a goodbye to me - seemed to try and put on a show and a fair bit of waving to the fans (yes, I am reading a lot into that)

He's faced a lot of criticism this season, but, for me, he's been our biggest and, well, only bright spot this season.

I hope he stays.

Will be absolutely devastated if he leaves.

Stay Cristiano.

I think he stays.

Don’t think he’s going anywhere. He’s too good for the MLS still now. Stunned if he went back to another champions league club but that’s the only risk. He’s still more than good enough.

A truly special player. Games like this remind me of what it was like to see the best player in the world play for your team week in, week out. One day he will leave again, and it will hurt again, just like before. But for now, Viva Ronaldo!

I think he's still got 3 years left in him
Possible. Another season at least anyway. At his age you can‘t look too far into the future with any certainty.

He‘s definitely upped his game in the last few weeks, since around the Spurs game I think. If he can maintain this level, allowing for occasional dips in form, I don’t know who we could realistically replace him with that would be better.

Undoubtedly, the player of the season. He will be useful under Erik's regime.

He literally said he is going nowhere
He's never done that before and then left. In fairness I doubt anyone is taking on those wages at his age so he will most likely be here next season but in fairness he's been excellent lately which bodes well for next year.

That's part of his celebration - you can see it at the end of the video in the second tweet when he was at Real.

It seemed a bit more poignant today, imo. He’s done the point at the turf before but given the amount of noise around him and whether he’s staying or going, it had some substance today.

I feel like he's been great in the second half of the season. Maybe he just needed to get used to the pace/physicality of the premier league for a while there?

Carragher saying we're a small club for bringing back Ronaldo and how Liverpool wouldn't do it with Suarez for example

Guess he forgets when they brought back Robbie Fowler

He's so full of shit, I really can't stand his opinions on United. The hypocrisy is unreal. For some reason there's a bunch of people on here who can't see he's on a constant windup when he speaks about us.

"United are a super club, like Liverpool"
"United are small time for signing Ronaldo, they should be signing Haaland, but he's going to City instead"
"It's like when Everton resigned Rooney"

Just feck off Jamie you bellend.
