Similar to Tevez, we would never get the player that City would get if we kept him. He’ll probably do well for them but keeping a £400k player who has wanted to leave for years and is barely able to hold his place in the team, much less in his preferred position, seeks daft to me. Just accept it hasn’t worked and try to find someone who does actually suit us.

I'm sure he'll 'officially' be on a reduced wage like £250k a week, just to prove it wasn't about the money. Meanwhile Sheikh Mansour will have bought a football club in his mam's name or given him a multi-million dollar Etihad sponsorship. PR wins, and he gets his absurd contract outside of the public books.

I’ve lost count of the amount of times he’s been mugged in the middle of park leading to a good chance for the opposition, alongside his lack of defensive nous/application it’s one of the main reasons we’ve had to try and move him out of the middle.

Not press resistant is probably not the right phrase. But he can be an absolute liability in central midfield, and city are stacked with left forwards. So I assume they’re looking at him for midfield.
Yeah, he doesn't anticipate danger very well. That is a defensive deficiency in his game. When he is aware that the opposition is in close attendance, he often spins away from them via a mixture of great footwork and sheer physicality. At times he bites off more than he can chew and backs himself too much when surrounded by 2 or 3 players. That is an example of overconfidence/arrogance and not a lack of skill. In my opinion, it is difficult for us to accommodate him and Fernandes in the same midfield. Especially as we don't have a natural holding midfielder. He has had some really good games on the left.

I think it's a sign of how badly Pogba has done here and how disliked he already is that the main reaction from Utd fans to his possible move to City seems to be a shrug of the shoulders.

City are welcome to him, he'll look great in flashes, he'll look appalling for long stretches, he'll miss 2 or 3 months a season at minimum, and if things aren't going well he'll be a toxic presence in the dressing room.

He's also never done a thing in the CL and seeing as though City are obsessed with finally winning it he isn't the final piece of the jigsaw there.

I don't see the transfer happening but if it does it will be interesting to see how long it takes for Pogba to infuriate Guardiola. Few weeks?

Tevez ended up refusing to play for them and Hargreaves wasn’t able to.

It’s a matter of which it will be with Pogba. Just as it has been with us.
He did some damage before it got to that point. The thought of a former player, a transfer fee record and a youth product no less having to possibly contribute even a little to their success makes me sick personally.I hope he goes elsewhere

Roy was an animal. Pogba is free to dab across the city. Off with him. There’s always the fear pep turns him into prime Yaya. He won’t of course. Once they fall out that’ll be it. Bench, injuries etc etc. Pogba would actually make them easier to play against and will be a big personality in the dressing room and one of their biggest earners. Hopefully it happens.

Not fussed about him going to city. I'm just scared this will scare us into renewing his contract.

Agreed. Even if he's rubbish there, which I don't think he would be. I think he'd thrive.

In the end respect is a two way street if you can bother up on one end you can't really complain if they do the same on the other.
That all said I'm just kinda wishing for this move happen due to all the ridiculous drama that will ensue.
Come on ye Pep Guardiola is my idol, i dare ya.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he goes somewhere else and becomes a world beater. There's something wrotten in our club, it's crazy to see how every player of ours turns to shit the more time they spend with us

Yup, leaves the clubs twice on a free transfer, costs us a record fee to bring him back and then joins a rival. It's exactly what he'd do

That being said after Sanchez, Maguire and arguably Ronaldo we need to stop worrying about what City may do in the transfer window

The club are to blame for that though for letting that happen. How can that be allowed to happen twice? Shockingly run.

The last statement is so true. We need to just focus on our own affairs, we need to get this next couple windows spot on.

He didn't play today but if he did I imagine he would've been really shit so I'm gonna give him a 0/10 anyway.

Is that because the fans are saying they don't care? The amount of insults and posts about him in the last 24 hours indicates otherwise.

Like @kouroux said it doesn't matter because United are irrelevant as a football club these days.

City would be ideal for him, they will dominate the ball, in the vast majority of games he won't have to defend, he will just have to give them match winning moments, which he is still capable of doing.

Playing in a pressing system doesn't mean you don't have to defend, City's midfielders work their asses off, none of them are lazy like Pogba. Pep is a perfectionist, he wouldn't tolerate Pogba for long.

Pogba does well with workhorses around him. He did for Juve with Vidal and Marchisio and he does it for France. United is just a disjointed mess with a poor midfield

I'm not going to miss the way he bobs up and down as he walks, as if one legs longer than the other (City will see that a lot if he signs for them). Matic does it too, for what it's worth.

International football isn't the premier league and neither is serie a. City would be a weaker team with him in it, he doesn't do anything better than De Bruyne, Foden, Gundogan, Bernardo. All 4 of them are better than him. Oh and if they want a maverick difference maker who they can bring on to change a game they already have Grealish for that.

That supposes that Pogba stays the same and doesn't improve his fitness levels. I don't doubt he would be asked to work harder on and off the pitch

He has never shown that level of intensity in his game in his whole career, he is not going to suddenly reinvent himself at 29 years old when his body is starting to fail him with more and more injuries.

He showed at Juventus he was much better than what he's been at Utd fitness wise He was much fitter in his first 2 seasons at Utd.
Pep wouldn't be mad because if he plays him, it would mean Pogba has reached the optimal fitness level for him. That's it.

i don’t think he’ll start at City. Who will they drop? KDB? Silva? No way

I wonder at which point I said international football and serie a are the premier league. Moreover to dismiss proven instances in which he does well to speculate about him not being able to do so is comical.

Plenty of rotation there, KDB has been up and down this season, world cup year coming up as well, City likely to play 60 games, he would get 35 starts.
