I remember when Robson had similar accusations when United played Middlesbrough in a crucial run-in and I went on Radio Five Live to tell the dippers phoning in to feck off.

I don’t expect Gerrard to throw anything, he’s a gobshite, but I think he knows the value of winning things, but Villa are Villa and I expect them to get battered.

I will be amazed if Villa dont roll over easily.

Klopp mentioning Gerrard as his possible successor would have got to him.

5-0

Well, I did pick Liverpool to beat Villa 5-0 in the Premier League predictions competition. Liverpool need the goal difference boost. A Liverpool win by 1-2 goals is probably the best thing for Steven Gerrard - Liverpool's title hopes are still intact and his integrity won't be questioned. If Liverpool win by 3+ goals, there's some fodder for conspiracy theorists even if Liverpool are a much better side than Aston Villa regardless of who is in the dugout.

I always imagine Gerrard is a bit miffed that pool didnt win a single league title until just after he retired.

I mean, no matter how they lose to Liverpool, the average United fan would still think it was a fix up by Gerrard.

He'll bend right over and just before he reaches full arch he will slip.

The attempted jinxing is strong in this thread.

I'm going to be in the Villa end for this tonight. Will be supporting them like they're my own, but really not expecting to have a fun time there...
Thank you. Humble Villa-supporter forum-visitor here -- really enjoy reading all the posts on this excellent United forum. It will be a very difficult match. Last year was certainly a fluke. Hopefully we bring some of the youthful energy we've been able to exert lately, but ugh, Salah ... so deadly.

He'll probably do something subtle like withdraw whichever player is their best player on the night very early.

I have to agree with someone earlier that Stevie me is all about himself. Probably doesn’t even like that Liverpool won a PL without him. Villa will still easily lose but I don’t think it will be intentional, it’s not United after all who would be affected this time.

Playing an open game against Liverpool.

That will end well.
