Becoming 37 hit Chris Paul hard it seems..... what a monumental dropoff since his birthday.

I'll eat all the crows in the world if the Mavs make it to the WCF.
I already did, he turned a terrible defense into a solid one while making sure that Doncic is the undisputed floor general. Whatever happens, I owe him some respect.

It is interesting to compare Embiid going out v Jokic going out. Jokic obviously didn't have as serious of an injury, but he was balling out pretty much every game against the Warriors. And has less of a supporting cast compared to Sixers.

But when Sixers really needed Embiid, especially in an elimination game, he was not even close to what Jokic did against the Warriors.
There is no doubt that Embiid was/is more or less injured but its weird his showings in game 3&4 vs 5&6, dont think his injury got worse, also if true, whole thing going around how before game 5 he was down due not winning MVP or so, which is pure wtf

Great first half from the Celtics. White came up absolutely huge to close out the second; getting that 3rd foul on Giannis has potentially big implications.

Their defensive strategy of trying to limit Giannis' playmaking seems to be working for the most part. Obviously what happened in the 4th quarter of game 5 looms large but encouraging stuff so far.

Compare these two MVP candidates across the first five games of their respective series:

Points - 31
Rebounds - 13.2
Assists - 5.8
Steals - 1.6
Blocks - 1
Free Throws - 28/33
% points as FT's - 18.1%

Points - 22.8
Rebounds - 11.6
Assists - 2.6
Steals - ZERO
Blocks - 0.4
Free Throws - 40/49
% points as FT's - 35.1%

Hope that clown Nick Wright has this brought up to him when he no doubt shits all over the Joker for bombing out in the first round.
This one goes out to all the clowns - Nick Wrong, Kendrick Jerkins and all the Embiid riders who want to talk about play-off performance.

Player A
Points - 31
Rebounds - 13.2
Assists - 5.8
Steals - 1.6
Blocks - 1
FG - 61/106 @ 57.5%
3PT - 5/18 @ 27.8%

Free Throws - 28/33 @ 84.5%
% points as FT's - 18.1%

Player B

Rebounds - 10.7
Assists - 3.1
Steals - 0.4
Blocks - 0.8
FG - 78/161 @ 48.4%

Tatum and The Freak have been absolutely unreal today
46/9/4 for Tatum vs. 44/20/6 for Giannis. Legendary stuff from both players.

Frankly can't believe the Celtics won this one. Thought for sure they'd get squashed after the collapse in game 5.

What a series though - think you could easily argue that these are the two best teams in the league.

Simply unbelievable game from both. Every time the Bucks made a move on the back of the Freak's efforts there was Tatum to hit an incredible shot.

Game 7 is going to be amazing.

i remember watching this. They switched at the play offs to make Jimmy primary handler. Jimmy hoped to run it back but they decided against it to put their future in Ben and have him as the ball handler. Joel thinks it was a mistake. I think it was a mistake. No reason not to run it back. That team was stacked. Only Kawhi playing like Jordan stopped them.

a true friend stabs you in the front
At the time it wasnt a horrible decision to put your future into Simmons hands over Butler. Simmons was 23, 3x All star, 1x All NBA and a DPOY candidate with elite playmaking. Its what has made his recent slump so frustrating. He genuinely had the potential to be a top 5 player in the league if he worked on his game enough to become at least an average shooter.

Thank God that's over. Grizzlies were a handful and played tough to the end. Bit inefficient from Steph but the "brothers" came through when it mattered.

Woohoo!

Congratz to GSW folk, those what 2 min were just busting. Memphis had a fight but still expected more from 2nd seed and how they played in regular season but must be said, at times they played some dumb ass basketball. Still young and they are here to stay, hope next season every team stay healthy because West looks juicy right now.

Beyond this year's playoff, I'm really excited by Memphis, a bit of experience, some roster tweaks and they could be the Bucks of the west, it's a very well built roster.
You don’t win the NBA with a player like Ja leading the team, at least the way Ja plays today.

Celtics - Bucks is final worthy. Would be appropriate if game 7 goes to the wire.
They are the two best teams in the league though weirdly enough, I think the Warriors will punch their weight against the Bucks.

If the Mavs make WCF, I expect another 4-2 win for the Warriors with one blowout loss in there.

Yeah, but he's barely worked on his game since he entered the league apart from getting stronger.

I think Celtics are going to take the series now that they got it back to their home court. I know they’ve lost there twice but the second one was a freaky result and they’ve been better as a team in the series over the last few games. Bucks would have won it with Middleton though, they miss him badly. Fine margins.

Yeah, Bucks are the defending champs and really lack Middleton, as expected… the Celtics may have higher ceiling, yet not fully there as a championship-ready team… which made this series as evenly poised as we can get. The standard of play is unreal, though, I am amazed! And both teams are going physical, still well within the code. Hats off to both teams and good luck for game 7… which I hope will see Boston go through.

Giannis is dropping 50 in game 7. If he has any help at all the bucks win

I am so tempted to take the Bucks to win the title at 8/1. Of course it could all be dead on Sunday but if they win that one then they are probably going to win the whole thing

Nope. Simmons made his FIRST all star appearance that year and had never made any All defence teams. We are talking 2019 which was his 2nd year. He averaged 14ppg in the play offs. They should of kept both
