Genuinely don’t know what the fuss is about this festival anymore. Just lives off its name. What’s Billie Eilish doing occupying a headline spot with her grand total of two albums?
And yeah I get Paul McCartney is a Beattle but he’s 100 years old.
Eavis and co are just half arsing the bookings now because they know people will buy tickets and then pretend the line up is great regardless. If you look at some of the line ups in the mid noughties it’s on a completely different level to the recent ones.
Also not sure why people talk of the giant size of Glastonbury as an emphatically good thing. I found it really annoying when I went because it meant stages were too far apart and i ended up missing half the slot of the acts I wanted to see.
You're mad!

Each to their own, but if you are judging a Glastonbury by the strength of its headliners then you're doing it wrong in my opinion.

I'm not, no. Unfortunately, I was planning on going this year, but life shit happened and I couldn't go. Hopefully next year now.
How are you watching the shows earlier? Assuming bbc i-player which is not available in Ireland

I have to watch them all delayed on regular bbc stations

Noel’s voice is at best 3% of Liam’s.

Again not massive Noel fan, but enjoying this
It’s good. But I’ve done a total 180…Back in the day I used to always prefer Noel but nowadays I way way prefer Liam

Im off to see Liam in Dublin in august and looking forward to it a lot

Yeah, iPlayer. Although I can't seem to access the McCartney set. Guess I'll just wait until it's on the BBC at 10:30

No true, but he seems to have the crowd singing along.
Wonderwall now.
It might as well be a cover band of is not Liam. Anyone will sing along with a cover band if they do Wonderwall.

Yungblud on the John Peel stage currently. He’s yanked straight out of the mid-late 00s.

Yeah it’s proper boring to listen to. No wonder they argue over it. Still glad I got to watch to watch their last show together live, even if they are city cnuts.

Actually really liked the first High Flying Birds album. Haven't listened to the others.

I never used to like Liam that much. The tipping point for me was the set he did for the Arianne Grande concert for the Manchester Bombing. He was just outstanding, depth that Noel could only dream of. Blew me away to be honest.

The only thing that does my head in with Noel and Liam these days is their insistence on shoehorning man city into their gigs, be it the flag on the stage or, as Noel just has, dedicating a song to their supporters. Cringe.

Because of that I'd rather listen to James since they're all a mix of City, United and Leeds supporters hence no cheesy footie stuff. And also because they're not shit.

Yep. Never saw a city badge on their stage in the 90s. Said the same thing to a mate earlier.

Yeah, a bit of a mood killer that.

Been on-stage since 9.30pm, delayed coverage for some reason.
Ahh ok, Bowie did the same just the opposite way round. Think they’re big enough to demand it, they don’t give this away to everyone for free.
