He really was.
Hands up. I was never a fan of the Beatles. Massively over rated in my opinion.
And apart from song writing, thought Paul was the weakest.
His voice was and still is incredibly weak. Most of the sound here was from very good backing singers.

Ok. Lots like him.
But in terms of musical abilities, he is not one of the best.
Have you watched Get Back? Without getting into what being one of the best is, I'd say its hard to watch that and not be massively impressed by Paul.

Paul's still very good, you just have to keep him away from that banjo.

Yeah, an incredible documentary.

The man is, and was, a musical genius. He could write and create melodies like no one else. The Beatles aren't my favorite band of all time or anything (I do like them) but to say he's not one of the best in terms of musical abilities is a...well, it's a smoking hot take that's for sure.

Sir Paul last night was awful for the first half but sublime for the second half.
The crowd was loving it.

The Boss being there was incredible, I've never seen a crowd react that way, was brilliant to be a part of that.

Fontaines DC were superiors today.

Am feeling unwashed, tired and ready for a shower and mattress.

Yeah, thought the same. Maybe not awful, but it wasn't great. As the night went on it got better and better. The last hour or so was really good.

That Jack White set is the highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely magic.

I'm a bit annoyed actually, they played my two favourite tracks of theirs toward the end - I Love You and Jackie Down The Line - at a fecking hundred miles an hour. Completely ruined.

Was there really any need? The rest of the set seemed to be at the usual tempo... It felt like they wanted to just get them out of the way

Just watching Elbow Guy Garvey. Certainly as good as anything I have seen at Glastonbury and much better than most.
Yes he is a fat old git. But at least he can sing.
Very entertaining.

Jack White still shreds but his voice has lost its edge.

Amyl and the Sniffers were new to me - pretty entertaining.
I will see them tomorrow night. They are opening for Greenday, Weezer (and fallout boy)

My mate tells me they are great. But I haven’t seen their Glastonbury set. Assume it was in I-player?

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Just caught up with the Billie Eilish performance - it was good if a little dull at times. She’s so talented though and my god did it end well. Happier Than Ever at the end with the crowd just spontaneously exploding during it was incredible. She also had a song with a loop from the Michael Scarn US Office episode throughout it so she can do what the feck she wants in my eyes

Was thinking the same
No surprise really, it was a pretty raw falsetto.

How do we feel about Lorde going in the strangely attractive thread?

EDIT - she’s got strong “too much sugar at the school disco” dancing.

It’s a form of guitar rock
Ha ha, I was being a bit obscure. I just meant why is Neil Tennent on his own with a massive tuning fork on his head? The PSBs do have some killer tunes though.
