So what salary will he be on here you think? Hope we don't go over 250k.
I hope so too. Just the thought of what Sanchez was on makes my skin crawl. How the club managed to get suckered into that is beyond me.

He’s earning around 400k at Barca now and doesn’t want to leave. Let’s just say we’ll at the very least have to equal that as there’s no way in hell he’s taking a paycut to come somewhere he didn’t intend on coming to begin with.

He'd also have had to take a paycut to stay at Barcelona though. There was no way they were paying him what was in his contract for next season if he stayed.

Can they just reduce his salary without his consent? Not saying they can’t. Just not familiar with this.

Be should end up on the higher end of our wage bill when it's all done and dusted considering what we gave Sancho and what he already earns at Barca.
We won't regret it if he performs his best.

I mentioned 250k because I found he was at £164,000 at Barca, wtf, is 400k real? I find it hard to believe, that is crazy for someone that isn't even that much proven. How do you go from Ajax straight to 400k.

EDIT: Ok, I found his newest contract with Barcelona is at £354,000, so I guess he will probably be on 400k here or something, which is still crazy.

What are we all going to do when this is done in a couple of days
Jump on the Antony train, then if we can somehow get that done it's onto either the full back or CB train.

Personally think it's starting to look like we have no interest in signing a DM this summer so train stays stuck in the station until at least January.

Getting him in and keeping him fit will do wonders for us. I don't think people understand how much our midfielders and full backs are responsible for our slow tempo.

In terms of need, I think a right back and another cm should be seen as priority. Our lack of depth in midfield has cost us as much as our lack of quality. We need another midfielder who has decent on ball capabilities( of course one who has the tools to partner FDJ). Chelsea were able to still play good football despite Kante's injury because of their depth in midfield. We won leagues due to having Butt Keane and Scholes, whilst Arsenal struggled anytime Viera went down. It's a key position for us and having depth in key positions can be what separates great teams from simply good or average teams.

Chelsea fell off the pace this season once Reece James got hurt, since in their 343 the wing backs are really important in the attack. Pool losing Van Dijk made them look like a completely different team, now they've signed Upemacano to cover that as the geggenpress requires huge pressure from the middle which other defenders didn't have the quality to replicate.
Do you mean we need more of a pure DM to partner him or someone who has similar CM skills but can offer more defensively

350k is what I read most often here. Is it pre- or post-tax? It must be pretax, right?

Frenkie‘s salary was lowered temporarily because of Covid and financial straits (they had to sell Messi), and is supposed to increase to make up the total value of the contract. That is where the confusion comes from?
