Reading through their forum, they're generally sick of the people running their club so I think they're inclined to view it as them fecking up negotiations that should have been in their favour rather than a better deal not really being viable. There's a lot of "we're just going to waste the money on X" type negativity as well. Basically any stick to beat them with.
So a bit like this forum then?

Didn't our scouting/Fergie deem him to be too frail for the PL?
Never heard that before. I know we were after him when he was at Spurs but we refused to do business with Levy after the Berbatov deal and Spurs preferred selling abroad anyway so it never went anywhere.

Looks like a matter of days before this one if officially off.

Hopefully we have a good plan B and don't just panic buy an injured Kante in late August

Weird that to a man they seem to miss that the “desperate” ones here are Barça, moreso
than United, it’s like they’ve head their collective heads in the sand for the past 18 months.
But then “levers”…

Just look at the Barca fans here, they're largely the same
To be fair, if was a Barca fan, I would also put my head in the sand rather than accept the fact that Barca is financially fecked, the financial situation there is beyond appalling

He is the best tempo controller. He can either play the passes very quickly or sitting down gasping for air while the opponents are waiting for his next move. His tempo range is between 0 to 90 and it often caught opponents off-guard. Such as when he did nothing but stare at Szczęsny.
Her was a bizarre player at times. Fat and lazy but also tried to play at like 100mph, doing lots of long runs with the ball, charging around the pitch playing 1 2's. I still laugh at that picture of him with the face mask on when he was subbed off for Internacional when they were playing at altitude. I know it has happened to plenty of players but it still made for an amusing picture.

He is still only 34 ffs, what a waste of talent.

This is such a myth. Anderson was shite for us and the only thing he excelled at was hitting the corner flag with his shots.

I mentioned this the other day. £4m saved is equivalent to £40m extra turnover, which isn’t to be sniffed at.
I'm sure something is missing in the above, but £40m is about £36m more than £4m. There is nothing equivalent about this.

Maybe you are assuming a cost margin on the turnover, but not all turnover will have the same cost margin or indeed in some cases any margin impact, e.g. sponsorship deals may have no margin cost if covered by the sponsor and other costs are just BAU overheads with no marginal impact.

Credit where its due if the prices quoted are correct. Could be our best midfield signing since Carrick.

Barcelona's problem is financial fair play. It has been said here many times.
If United had the same FFP they would be in the same situation, they couldn't sign anything.
United would not have to use "economic levers" because they could make a capital increase as many other clubs have done.

So who would his best partner be?

Wouldn't think Fred would be ideal because of his instinctive pressing nature, MCT, no.

Yes, a lot of that is pure delusion. I don't know much about their situation but from the little I have read it is absolutely clear that they are in a dire situation financially. If this was a game of poker we'd definitely have the lions share of the chips.
