Are season ticket transfers / name changes possible? I called earlier in the season to ask if my brother-in-law's ticket could be transferred as he can't make most of the games this season - but was told name changes / transfers not possible as it counts as a new season ticket.

Seems as though these sort of things depend on who you end up speaking to on at the TO!
When i did it i was allowed to exchange after i kicked up a huge fuss and contacted one of the fans representative to finally get it through and even after that it was still set back to 0.

Short version of the story my bro wanted a ticket i had 2 in my name one which my mate was no longer using so i wanted to transfer it to him, proper idiots about it.

Makes sense - cheers. I considered kicking up a fuss but with the forwarding scheme it makes it easier for me to just manage the games he can't attend.

Had a wonderful experience with this last year for the Palace game so figured it's worth another shot. If anyone has a pair of tickets for the Brighton match (preferably Stretford End) August 7th please PM me. Will be travelling from Montreal and I have UTD membership for transfer.

Don’t forget if you want a pair the other person will also need a membership as you can’t transfer more than one ticket to one membership

Yes thanks mate!! If I'm lucky enough to score the pair I will buy the wife a membership to complete the transfers. Still would accept a single Stretty End ticket as well and leave her at home

Tickets for Brighton on Uniteds ticket website.

£269 a pop.

I'll watch it on Sky I think?
How have they stumbled across that price?
Weren't execs £150-250 last year?

Starting at £269 for Brighton can only be ominous for the bigger games.

I got given a couple of execs free last year that were in the Stretford End, face value were £150, they were a similar view to my own seats in E236 which cost £37 per game, for that you get the use of a lounge, a padded seat and a programme, what an absolute waste of money,

Looking at the exec seats for the Liverpool game , £600 will get you a seat ( padded ) in N3408, so quite high, a sandwich and a complimentary bar. However if you are a lottery winner you can pay £1500 and watch from the South stand , but with champagne, proper nosh and all sorts of other goodies , that’s the equivalent of 2 season tickets in K stand

Just looking at that same package for the Brighton game and it’s only £760 , so it’s £700 more for Liverpool , now I’m convinced if I sold my Liverpool ticket for the twice as much as my Brighton ticket United would be all over it and I would lose my season ticket, talk about double standards !!!

Speaking of those rats and seen as there are a lot of tourist fans in this forum, the new shirts go on sale tomorrow but please for the love of god DON’T buy it (or any other merchandise for that matter). You’re only funding the problem and we’ll never get rid of them if the moneys still rolling in

Are they really going to release new shirts tomorrow with all the Ronaldo uncertainty?

Imagine having to refund 1,000s of shirts with RONALDO 7 emblazoned on them!

The same can be said for those who are buying match tickets? Isn’t there 50,000 season ticket holders?

Aren’t they more culpable than the tourist fans who see the odd match and buy a United shirt?

Not spoiling for a row either buddy. Just an observation. My moral stance on the Glazers has been blown to bits since my kid wants to watch United which is obviously my fault as he’d be sleeping outside the house if he didn’t.

To be honest the Ronaldo situation has been in every national news service, not to mention all the fan twitters. If anyone buys the shirt it’s their own fault.

I think the delay in releasing the new kit was more down to the lack of signings…thank God that’s no longer an issue…oh wait

I think that with every player shirt, they all leave in the end. Just get the plain shirt

Same here and obviously due to the recent ticketing website shambles if keeping the same policy? I'm already phucked for next season:lol:

Yep, I’m all about the retro shirts this season. Got 3 - no player names of course.

BTW question for anyone who knows - if you enter a ballot, does it take the money from your card at the time you apply, or only if you’re successful? Cheers lads!

There is no hope for the rest who didn’t attend any last season so.

I know a work colleague bought memberships, new for this year. And they got an email saying that the ballots are weighted on attendance. As there have been no games this year, it is going on last year.

His point, if I don’t get any tickets, it’s difficult to build up some credit in that regard.

Not comparing that to you guys who have paid the cash and attended last season.

It’s right to serve the longer term and those who have spent time and effort going to games.

10 games last year, good going.
It would be interesting to see some transparency on those successful in the ballot today.

takes your Card details but doesn’t debit.
A successful ballot and they money comes out.

There were people who knew they were successful in the Liverpool ballot today before United contacted them my email to say so.
As their cards were debited.

Would be very on form for United to introduce previous loyalty for non season ticket holders in applying for the ballot matches, but still have away games a total lottery for season ticket holders.

Sometimes i do question why i even bother with this club.

The best part is they haven't let anyone know, let alone new members about this apparent change in policy

Staggering incompetence every single time.

And I don't trust they're doing it properly.

That’s a good point.
Sell their memberships and got to non weighted ballot for the spare tickets for home league games.

Away games however, based on history.
(Although it does make it difficult to build up a ticket history, if you can’t get your foot on the ladder).

In fairness what would you suggest for away games? We tend to get around 10k applications for 3k tickets, if they reintroduced a form of loyalty (baring in mind we still have the old loyalty pot with circa 900 members in) then the tickets would go to the same 3k ticket holders every game. I mean don’t get me wrong I did a good amount of aways in the league last season so I’d likely benefit from it but realistically I don’t see how it would be overly fair to lock aways down further than the need to be a silver STH.

I find it hard to believe that they do such a poor job on a lot of fronts, with regards to tickets.

Either the membership and ticket services manager is a complete dope with no ideas, or he’s not a dope but his hands are tied with what ideas he can implement.

They sold the premium memberships and the season ticket deposit last year, put a lot of emphasis on being in a good place to get a ST if you were on either.

ON BOTH, you were good as gold.

Then, emails flew around that they would be selling ‘no new season tickets’. D’oh!

Alas, they plug the bell out of memberships for this season. ‘The way to get match tickets’.
So far the original releases were met with an online queue of 20k, hours waiting only to be kicked out.

Eventually getting in when all were sold out.
No luck.

THEN they open ballots for the games. Dear John letters sent out. You need to have attended games last year to have a chance to get tickets in the ballot. This is to the new members that got to sign up.

You couldn’t make all that up. Relentless amateur carry on with them.

The only time they don't mess up is a home draw in the cup scheme your money will be gone and an email explaining its going within about 15 seconds of the draw being made its wonderful.

Fair point, but with our fan base being as it is those tickets are gonna sell regardless, so I’d rather the seats be taken up by green and gold rather than those in new shirt watching the game through their phone camera.

In an ideal world yeah, boycotting the games would be the perfect action to hit the glazers where it hurts. I just don’t think that’s realistic and the next best thing is to hit the merch/sponsors, as well as continued protests to keep the pressure on.

Any idea when the fixtures are confirmed for September Tv matches. Have tickets for United V Arsenal. But can’t book my travel yet.

I had read it would be confirmed today but wondering when this will likely be.

It is supposed to be today so I'd watch out this afternoon. That being said, them missing the deadline by a few days wouldn't be unusual.
