McTommiany brings you the opportunity to rest the better players whiles he's knocking the ball around against some farmers in the EL.
The point is we need to buy the better players first. Otherwise he’ll be lining up on Saturday at 3pm. Again.

Utterly bizarre that bit about McTominay in the Times article, but we have to accept the reality I suppose. Hopefully Ten Hag will be able to improve him as his current level is the Championship.

Not holding my breath, though.

Tell us how you really feel
It’s just such a boring, not thought out argument to put out there. It’s been repeated so many times despite both players being so far from the major problem within our squad.

They will be decent squad players moving forward so at least people can stop pedalling these boring repetitive views

Hag ,after watching just one training session involving his left backs, points to Murtough in the distance and shouts "GET TO THE CHOPPA!"

The phrase 'Going Dutch' will mean something completely different by the end of this window.
Wonder if we’ll starting associating Dutch players with United. I kinda always linked French players to Arsenal in my head

Why are Manchester United so quick with their transfer business? And how come we're negotiating multiple transfers at once, while our rivals are only doing one deal at a time?

I like that, we waited till the price for him was set at normal level by Lyon at 13 mln euro then make our move.

Other way around they would want 25-30 mln for us.

Big Brain :)

Remember this post, Shaw will end the season playing LCB for over 15 games at least.

I refuse to believe we would have negotiated with Barcelona if we hadn't had assurance from the player himself.

It's a lot of rubbish. We wouldn't get to this stage and still be begging him to join

Okay, we tried similar things in the past under Woodward but failed at basically every occasion. What's the difference here? Was it that we were in talks with Feyenoord early on so had established a communication point with them?

Yes and people actually answering the phone and developing good relationships...

I feel we've probably been in close contact with his agent who has informed us what it would take to beat OL and now the De Jong transfer is pretty much concluded (same agent) we can afford to work on this deal too.

To be fair, we also were in close contact with several agents under Woodward. However, I think Cassidy nailed it here:

This is happening despite Matt Judge still being around. Things have already changed under Murtough.

The meltdown in here if West Ham hijack our deal after the caf have spent the last two hours convincing themselves he's the next coming of Evra.

I think I saw somewhere that Malacia shares the same agency as FDJ. So, we were already in contact with his representatives. So, I assume from the moment they informed us that Feyenord accepted another bid, it was easier for us to accelerate things.
