He obviously doesn't want to join. It's such a sad one, I'm not going to feel great when he signs because of our financial power and not because of any particular love for the club. Feels like an arranged marriage.

The vast majority of players don’t end up playing for the team they dream of or supported as a kid. It’s really not a big deal.

Ffs don't let the rubbish media narrative ruin a great signing. If he was completely against it and didn't want to join, he wouldn't, there's no shotgun at his back to force him.

He will absolutely understand he is joining an absolute behemoth of a football club with incredible support across the globe.

Bayern Munich wasn't Lewandowski's dream club (that's Real Madrid), but that didn't stop him from performing tremendously for Bayern Munich.

You think any of the current Manchester United players loved or loves the club? Love for a club is for fans. Footballers are professionals who can do their job without loving a club.

He may be on the fence about coming here but it's up to the fans and the club to ensure that in the end he feels it's the best decision he's ever made.

Let's not stop there: Modric was a Barcelona fan, Iniesta was a Madrid fan, Rooney was a boyhood Everton fan and Vinicius Jr who is now a diehard Madrid player was a Barcelona fan and cheered for Barcelona as recent as 2016. It doesn't stop there.

Fan culture is for the fans, professional footballers are professionals and go wherever they need to go to succeed and perform the best to their abilities.

I just worry about our negotiation team in Barcelona, working 18 hours a day for a month now. The hotel probably reeks of Murtough, the man hasn't changed his shirt in weeks.

He’s worn the same white suit ETH wore for 5 days straight when he first visited OT.

He must be reeking (of awesomeness)

From the article

Ten Hag’s dream 4-3-3: De Gea; Dalot, Martínez, Maguire, Malacia; Fernandes (captain), McTominay, De Jong; Eriksen, Ronaldo, Antony.

I really hope not.
I think it's more his prediction. Prett sure Eriksen wont play on the wing

He has multiple setups and formations in there also

I'm not sure what you are arguing about here, Barcelona finances was mismanaged by that criminal Bartemou or whatever his name is, during the pendamic, the losses were 97m, the year after it was 450m!! United didn't report losses of 450m, the ratio of salaries to revenue at Barcelona was closer to 100% at one time, it's under 50% at United, you had to ask players to take salary cuts, some agreed to deferred salary payments, Manchester United never had to do that, I'm not sure why you even comparing Barcelona's financial state to United!!!

And what capital increase United did?? United usually don't sell players that well, but the club's finances aren't in dire state as it's in Barcelona.

Anyway, to bring this discussion to an end, Barca has huge financial problems, it's a simple fact, regardless of how it happened, it's impacting Barca's ability to sign players, it's also an issue when Barca tries to sell players, buying clubs (e.g. United trying to buy De Jong) will take advantage of Barca's desperate financial situation, these are simple facts.
I'm not arguing anything. You have given some very erroneous figures that change the general view of the situation
It is not the same 1.3B of net debt as you said that 650M.

I'm saying that United with Spain's FFP couldn't sign anyone unless they did a capital increase.
The other option is to sell a lot and there are not enough players to get the required amount.

I wouldn't feel bad for him as he will no doubt force his way out of here as soon as he can and make it clear how much he preferred to be in Barcelona.

This is taking too long since the news that a fee was agreed. Won't be relaxed about this deal until Fabrizio tweets here we go.

Aren't people bored of being miserable and repeating this rubbish yet. It's obvious at this point that he is happy to join
