Get rid he’s had enough chances, he’s lazy, sulky and not good enough to be a united player. Mediocre at best!

I'm not sure what you mean enough chances.
I would love to see ETH give him a chance to show his unmistakable talent. He could save us a fortune

I actually think ten Hag may get the best out of martial..: he made tadic look good ffs. There’s obviously talent in martial and we seen some of it under Solskjær but I think LVG was the one who got the best version of martial. Everyone deserves a fresh slate now that there going to be getting proper modern coaching and none of this old school crap. We can’t afford to replace everyone and with losing so many players on free transfers, it’s a chance for others to step up!

nice try - but not quite:

Laziness - all mental
Sulking - all mental
Injuries - he doesn't have the mental strength to deal with knocks, he'd rather sit out.
Influence on the wing - again, laziness and lacks the intelligence/understanding.
Lack of goals - imo, because of all the above.

Proof you can all the footballing talent in the world, but if you don't have the mental toughness - you'll struggle to reach a certain level, Martial is about as fragile as you can get.
That's a bit simplistic.

The way I see it martial becomes frustrated and gives up because he often tries the same damn thing over and over and 9/10 times with no results. His movements are just very predictable. He is amazing with the ball at his feet but doesn't play smart.

Which is covered in the 4th point on my list - lack of intelligence/understanding. Simplistic or not, the point still stands.

I don't see the link between Tadic and Martial

Lost count of how many times I thought this is going to be when Martial will shine
Still think there is a great player in there somewhere
But gave in a while ago expecting to see that at United, no matter who the manager is.

For both sides best to part ways before the new season.

Would we have been interested in signing him based off of his appearances last season for Sevilla?

No. Get rid.

Said a million times before, a world class talent but as flakey as feck. Doesnt have the mentality to match the ability.

And i'm basing that on the last seven years of watching his lazy arse performances for the first team..

Clearly his baldness was the problem. Now that his hair is back we shall see a new Martial.

His technical ability is not all that great. Just because he dribbles like a Ballerina people think that he is some high quality technical player.

I look at his finishing for example - he tends to just finesse his finishes but doesn’t have much else ways to regularly finish by.

He is technically very precise but not very versatile.

He's still the best forward we have playing with his back to goal.

This is insane he is technically exceptional on the ball

He is not finesse shooting into an empty net it's from difficult as hell angles and they are hard shots too

I'm no fan of Martial but people love to exaggerate

I understand what the poster means though, he is technically precise but doesn't have much range to his finishing and passing, its all short passing, close range finish, dribbling in tight spaces.
He is brilliant at this though.

For an attacking player isn't that what you need to excel at? I've said before his decision making is really bad. His movement is predictable but I wouldnt say he is technically not so amazing.
I think his dribbling was always a little overrated

For me he is technically good but not technically versatile.

His finishing is easy to say before he even takes the shot.

Wow.
World class talent eh.
Fully agree with your other points.
But even in those few and far between times when he actually turned up, has never looked world class.

He has natural ability. That is pretty much it.

He is a ball to feet player, so when the team isn't moving the ball quickly with rhythm he struggles to get into the game, much like Sancho.
They could appear passive as well because they don't do high risk high reward moves....they're suited for possession football were ball retention is appreciated, if he can get his head out of his arse he is as likely to flourish under ETH as Sancho is, more likely than Rashford because some of the basic principles to this kind of football is natural to them.

One of his biggest fans but I’ve pretty much written him off. I’d still expect him to go but if ETH can introduce him and get him playing well that would make me happier than any other player. Such a brilliant footballer to watch on form.

I'm pretty sure there are many other players he's never been able to improve. Martial's time is done.
Maybe but we’ll never know will we if he’s sold… ten Hag has already said everyone gets a chance. If in training or the friendly games he sees something he doesn’t like then he’ll probably get rid of them.

I would really like to see some heavy coaching for the likes of Rashford and Martial. Players whose careers have hit the skids but who clearly have talent but haven’t developed the required mentality for one reason or another. If ETH can find a way to maybe get him to hold up the ball like he did against city he can still be a much more useful player. His contract is a joke though.

Can't, big contract. If he's not a problem in the dressing room (and I have no reason to assume he is, given he wanted out of last season and wasn't part of that shit show) then you just keep him and hope he improves. ETH isn't under obligation to play him if he's still shit.

Martial is a body at this point. We need bodies.
Something a lot of people are definitely missing. We lost 6 senior squad players for free and the likelihood is even after our transfer dealings conclude this summer we’ll have fewer senior players than last season. We’re also back in the Europa league this season, a tournament I would expect Ronaldo to play no part in (unless we get quite far).

If a good offer of 20m-25m comes in, then get rid, he isn't good enough anymore.

If no good offers comes in, then he can just be a squad option until his contract expires or he is shipped off next window

Of course ETH was gonna say this at first. Thzme opposite would have been crazy. Martial is finished

Reading some of the posts here, you'd think we were dealing with a mercurial genius who lost his way, like a Ronaldinho or a Cantona.

Really it's more a case of a former young prospect who didn't pan out. Players like Martial are a dime a dozen.

He scored 79 goals for us. He's not exactly James Wilson.
