I don’t think he’s all that but I’d still be pretty happy if we signed him, we need all the help we can get in midfield at this point

No-brainer signing if Eriksen turns us down. I have no doubt that Ten Hag will help him build some consistency.

I think he’d be a good signing if we can get him in for around £25m. Would add more quality and strength to the squad which will be needed next season due to the packed schedule.

A good player, one who could become very good and will at least hold value. Think he’d be a good signing but still leave you needing someone better defensively.

One paced and weak. Typically overpriced, overrated Leicester player. They've been living off players signed 8-9 years ago but still managing to sell the likes of Drinkwater, Maguire and Chilwell as if they are Kante and Mahrez standard.

Has any of their players had the youth profile of Tielemans?

Do you mean Tadic? Don’t think Berghuis ever played as a false nine.
He played in there with Tadic playing out wide at times, and then they would swap, anyway all to say I could see eriksen playing the same way they did before haller arrived. It would mean we don’t need a striker this year

Not many rate him. I think he is a good player. Football brain. If we don't get Erickson in then worth a punt for 25 million.

Took the piss out of us last season when they beat us at the king power. Matic and pogba chasing his shadows that day.

This is what I would do. Go for Tielemans as an alternative to Eriksen if that isn’t worked on. I’d go for Tielemans over Eriksen due to their age and health issues but I don’t know much about it.

It does seem that finally people have clued in to the fact he's nothing more than average.

Not good enough for UTD.
A lot better than our actual midfield though! He’d be a very good purchase for the right price. I’d happily take him, FDJ and Eriksen in the squad than having to rely on McT and Fred to play constantly and in positions they aren’t very good at.

Even if we kept those two, a midfield selection from Bruno, FDJ, Eriksen, Tielemens, Fred, McT and Garner is looking a whole lot better. Especially if Bruno is played in the front 3 more this season.

He's not as great as he was hyped to be, but he does have above average vision and football IQ and can hit a pass, which are traits that we don't currently have much of in our current midfield setup.

Has looked poor for a while. Decent squad player but wouldn't be getting excited about signing him.

Some Leicester fans have speculated that he's had his heart out the club for more than a year. I think Tielemans is more than good enough to play for this club. Some opinions on are as if United have just signed Camavinga, Tchouameni and a prime Scholes. The club have easily the worst midfield I can remember it's significantly regressed since Matic, Herrera and Pogba were playing together.

Tielemans walks into this first team out of form. He and Neves would be good additions. You only have to look at the Kyle Walker peters posts to get an understanding of the way fans observe the game and also the situation of the club. Mostly every individual the club have been linked with would strengthen the quality of the team with the exception of perhaps Brobbey.

The fact is, we could do a lot worse than Tielemans for around £25m. We paid double that for Fred. Even if Tielemans only became a rotational player for us, he'd be worth it for that price. Still only 25, premier league proven (though his form dropped off this past season) and a regular starter for a stacked Belgium team with over 50 caps.

If 25 mil is the asking price I'd certainly go for him — not as a De Jong's replacement though, totally different players. He'll probably never reach the heights that people thought that he would when he was a teenager but he's a very technically astute player with a decent engine and a wonderful shot.

We desperately need numbers in midfield.

He’s better then mctominay and he’ll add squad depth.
I agree with that but personally I wouldn’t pay over 25/30 mil for him.

Anything is better than McTom.

If we are trying to sign FDJ, Eriksen and Y Tielemans then either Scott or Fred is being sold because L Martinez can also play CDM, I called this because of his height and now ETH has made Maguire Captain I suspect I’m right. Watch the first 11 vs 2nd 11 in practise today.

ETH first 11 team is D De Gea, D Dalot or V Lindelof, R Varane or L Martinez , H Maguire, L Shaw or T Mallicia, Fred or FDJ, DVB or CE, Bruno or DVB J Sancho or Antony, Ronaldo or Martial, Rashford or Martial. He will use this core of 16/17 players and he clearly believes he can get Maguire, Rashford, Shaw, Sancho, Bruno back to their very best of form. we will see.

He’s Rigid on his transfers which are T Mallicia, FDJ, Eriksen, L Martinez, Antony
Y Tielemans , I hope but it won’t happen unless Mctominay goes the other way.

My worry in the season where the 9 subs named and 5 can be used our squad depth looks terrible even with the transfers compared to the other Top 5 or 6 teams.

Get Tielemans for 25m and sell McTominay for 40m.

This would be the kind of move that changes the shape of the squad and shows an intention towards a genuine rebuild.

A better move would be to sell McTominay for 65m. You'd get more money this way.

Call me mad but I think McTominay will be a useful player when he’s not expected to start week in/week out.
