Reckon his name has been spelt wrong more in this thread than Di Maria’s name has been mentioned in the FDJ thread.

It’s literally in the title.

I have no idea either, yet.
I'm not Danish!
Or you meant patriotism to United, right? ;)

You'd expect supporters to be able to spell the names of their team's players..... right?
No I thought you were a Dane, not just a pedant. To be honest, maybe it's from modding these last few days but I can forgive spelling just now.

Good signing that gives us a few other options. Given our current diabolical state it's the exact type of smart signing we needed.

If a child's father is called Eriksen and he calls his child Erik, is that child then called Eriksensen?
To be clear, the -sen names no longer refer to the actual name of a child's father in Denmark. They are just family names at this point. Eriksen father is probably not even called Erik.

Player with the right skill set and the right mentality to start a new era. He's going to make an amazing addition to the squad.

Conte gave Eriksen plenty of chances but the truth is he was a massive let down.

Who gives a toss if he was or not or inter. No relevance to anything

He been a big success in the premier League, and we are talking very recent premier League too

This is the nicest thread on the forum even with all the angry pedantic Danes.

I mean he is one of the most famous players in the world…Everyone can spell
Ibrahimović

but Eriksen gets molested into Ericksson and shit like that

Always been an opposition player I've really liked so definitely pleased with this. He's the sort of player we need and I reckon he'll start a lot of games for us personally. I think he'll either play deeper or Bruno will end up on the wing.

Would be a shame if he didn't name his own son, Eriksensen

Erikson is a good start but we need to be making progress on Frankie too, hopefully the Glaziers have given Murtagh the money to spend.

Signing Eriksen heavily indicates the Donny has no future under ETH. Sad, but good luck to him wherever he goes

Really happy with getting him he's still a top player and I think he will play more games than people are letting on.

Great competition for Bruno.

If rumors are to be true, Eriksen was very high on ETH’s list. With this signing he sent VDB to the bench, not that this is bad but a bit strange since I assumed ETH would like to play Donny as much as he can.

Hopefully, we'll have enough in midfield that we won't need to depend on getting 90 minutes a game out of him when the games occur fast and often later on in the season. He'll be a positive influence to the younger lads and as someone Ten Hag knows and trusts, a leader within the club.

Why does it? Eriksen will either be competing with Bruno for the number 10 role or he’ll play out wide. Won’t affect donny. Ten Hag likes players who are tidy on the ball.

FYI, van de Beek plays in the #10 role as well ;)

Our squad is looking incredibly thin compared to a year ago, I think there's plenty of space for both of them in the squad with 50-60 games to play.

Looking for ward to be and (hopefully) de Jong in the same midfield. Should bring the absolute best out of Sancho as well

Conte was not dissatisfied with Eriksen's football qualities at Inter. Conte was dissatisfied with Eriksen's personality. He wanted Eriksen to show more aggression, be more dominant verbally and show greater emotion on the pitch. But Eriksen is not like that at all. He is a quiet person and the opposite of Conte as a person. But his work ethic fails nothing. As Conte had become more accustomed to Eriksen, Eriksen played pretty much all the time.

He's not free. There will likely be a hefty signing on fee plus wages around £200k a week. I hope I'm wrong but I reckon we've done it again and signed another has-been who we'll never get shifted with the wages he'll likely be on. After the shit I've watched the past 9 years, I've no more time for sentiment.

That stats profile isn't one of a has been... That's high 90's percentile in tons of very important stats, decent enough defensive stats for an advanced playmaker being compared to normal midfielders, and when you watch him you can still see his a class playmaker.

He's a midfielder who will help our possession and progression game immensely under Ten Hag. Having him and Frenkie together in a midfield 3 makes us very press resistant, as well as having 2 players who compliment each other very nicely in the various phases of the game on the ball, they do their defensive work (though of course we need the 3rd to be a strong tackler), and I think the on pitch performances will be night and day. Bruno then gets pushed to the front 3, either as a wide playmaker or a false 9 like how Ten Hag used Ziyech or Tadić.

I think Eriksen will play deeper than Bruno. More like a Fred, with less work rate, more composure and eye for pass.
He will be primarily paired with de jong whilst also providing backup for other positions.

I hope we sign De Jong and that Eriksen partners him. I would like to see ten Hag attempt to re-create his Ajax midfield of Schöne, De Jong and Van de Beek. Perhaps in the bigger games it can be tinkered with, but I think it would work a treat.
