Entertaining football from us. We got ourselves a great manager that actually got a clue of what he wants to achieve.

XD Ten Hag saying we need A LOT of work and that we need to cut down all the mistakes we make when the commentators ask if he was impressed with the players.

The perfectionism is delightful.

Amad, Malacia and Elanga pretty poor in that second. Van de Beek also non existent. I am, however, already confident that Iqbal is a more accomplished footballer than McTominay. Savage too, very comfortable on the ball.

Second half players:
Bailly amazing
I want to see more of Zidane this season. Amazing composure and technique
Great energy from Savage
Malacia decent debut

for the bad:
Donny still invisible
Amad way too weak
Elanga horrid

Decent performance and encouraging to see us be able to play under a little bit of pressure at the back. First half, liked the way we really moved the ball quickly and decisively.

That said it's pre-season, it's all about finding fitness and rhythm so will take the game on that merit only. Let's see what the game at OT brings.

Savage and Iqbal showing what a composed midfield pairing will bring to United. They were happy to recieve the ball in tight areas, dribble and pass short or long. Probably not ready to start in first team but could get some regular sub minutes if we don't get anyone else.

I am happy with what I see but there are gapping holes to pluck. Elanga, Amad and Pellestri is not ready to be feature this season. They are simply not ready at this level, I think need to be loan for another few years or eventually sold. DVB still looks the same as before, if someone offer 30-40 million we should sell him immediately. Iqbal pass the eye test, he really has the confidence to receive, dribble and pass the ball. Based on this one pre-season game, we definitely need FDJ, Antony and Martinez. Hopefully, 1 more pacy forward.

Thought Savage was a bit all over the shop personally. Iqbal and, to a lesser extent, Pellistri the standouts from our younger lads. Elanga was really poor and Amad had some nice touches but very little awareness.

Fred’s goal demonstrated the drilled pass and move as a unit alive. Looking forward to see the team can fully adapt to ETH’s vision.

Really enjoyed the game. First half we were brilliant, but kinda expected liverpool to dominate once they had their strongest 11 on the pitch, and the kids really did great.

It's a friendly but ETH needed this positive start.

Iqbal looked very promising. Together with Savage, both played well against the press - good signs.
