Thats a bold assumption given the fact he will be out for a least 2-3 months. That only leaves a month to get fit.

players seems to get to a point in their careers where it's just injury after injury, not career ending ones but niggly ones here and there. Pogba seems to be at this point, dare I say Varane seems to be going the same way

I agree - you seem to either get players that seem to be lucky and play nearly injury free for their careers, some who have one bad injury (leg break) but recover and have more or less injury free careers after that or those who at some point their body catches up and they get niggle after niggle that just adds up and will be them for the rest of their career.

Pogba seems to be falling into the latter and Varane lately too.

The only ones that failed were solsjkaer and ralfy.
Ralf for sure.
With Jose he was good generally, especially the first season, but of course they hated each other.

Under Ole he had the biggest variance. Excellent in the caretaker spell, very good return from injury at the end of the lockdown season, and very good performances from LW in the second half of 20/21. But absolute stinkers at the start of 20/21, and some fresh lows last season. Also started getting injured a lot more - the majority of 19/20 and a big chunk of 20/21 including through covid.

Under Ralf I don't remember a thing to be honest, but I'm assuming he was bad.

How is it Juventus have again identified a long term injury with a player they bought from us and we managed to miss it? Apparently its been troubling him for a few years

https://football-italia.net/juventus-fear-pogba-could-miss-world-cup/

When Evra signed for Juventus from us they found a long term underlying stomach issue which when fixed prolonged evra's top flight career.
Might help if he didn’t feck off abroad to recover under his own medical team and away from under our noses?

Not sure how else your post could be interpreted to be honest.
So? He deserves all the shit he gets after that Pogmantery shit show. What is this the snowflake generation? I remember a time when people wanted the likes of Stevie Me injured,... Now we have pople defending this excuse of a footballer?

Isn't an injury different to a medical condition?

Evra was apparently allergic to eggs, despite him eating eggs almost every day at Utd. He also said he had a stomach ulcer.

Lukaku also had a digestive problem that was apparently only discovered when he went to Inter. Think it turned out he has celiac disease or something. Rakitic I think had something similar.

Pogba has had a knee problem that has been troubling him for years, but has never officially been out of action with a knee injury. Surely it have been identified during his assessments at Utd and elsewhere when he was being looked at for his other injuries. You'd also expect that it would have shown up during his medical at Juve before he joined.

Why is it that every time he gets injured he goes to Dubai for recovery?
Is Dubai's medical facility really fecking good for footballers or what?

The gym he's in has the Manchester United logo everywhere.

Its almost as though it's an old video taken in Carrington but the tweet lies to say he's in Dubai in order to get traffic and cause controversy.

i remember seeing this and thinking, his quads are really really small.
I remember seeing this and thinking he always puts a shift in on the videos but not on the pitch.

Anyway, I’m hearing he looks set to miss the World Cup. If it’s true, not sure he’ll get another World Cup where he starts with the amount of talent France have coming through.

He was a huge disappointment at United, but I just find it weird how so many on here have this obsession with everything he does, whether it's on or off the field.

Anyways, I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Game waits for nobody, especially at the top. Shame for talented players to miss out through injury, but that's part and parcel of sport.

France will allow him to get as fit as possible, however it'll be under the guidance of Juve. Guy needs to focus on surgery, rehab, and develop a new training regimen, without a football timeline.

Juve have just managed to terminate the super-crock Aaron Ramsey and have now replaced him with Pogba…….

Well hopefully a full recovery even if it means he misses the world cup it would be better not to rush it.

United, France and his people in Dubai never spotted this injury previously so wouldn’t read too much into it. Wouldn’t surprise me about the examples of players with stomach problems/allergies being correctly diagnosed in Italy.
Prevailing view in the UK is that anyone with these type of issues is faking it or being fussy. Know this through my own painful experience and that of others

Shame for him, injuries have ruined him, but at least he'll spend more time in his favourite place Dubai.

Why would anyone but Juventus spot a knee injury that happened with Juventus?

Could have sold him for +100m back then ( he just won the world cup , before covid hit ) if we listened to Mourinho instead of losing him again for free. Our board are full with idiots, even till today.

There were suggestions it was a pre-existing condition
He reported pains in his knee after a game for Juventus. Unless the player reports the pain Juventus doesn't know it, no one knows and that's weeks after Juventus checked him during his medical. United and France have nothing to do with this one.

 Are you also a professional footballer? Because we all know how often they’re not taken seriously when they claim to be injured…

France's midfield have looked underwhelming without Pogba

Can't blame Deschamps if he waits for Pogba.till the last minute.

Final decision to be made today on surgery. He is prepared to risk his career for the WC.
