Calling himself a king. Grow up, you are not a teenager anymore. I have had enough of Ronaldo, and I really hope, he will go to an other club.

Are you just fabricating fake stuff to fit your opinion here?
Martial 19/20 season:
13,5 pressings/90 - average compared all other attacking players in the top 5 leagues.
Ronaldo 21/22 season:
6,5 pressings/90 - number 850 out of 850 midfielders and attackers in the top 5 leagues.

How is that similar?
It's not 100% similar. It's a reference to this, a whole period in his young 20's where he just couldn't be arsed to put the effort in:

,,But there is no sign of improvement. Martial was covering 9.1km per 90 minutes at the time and his numbers are identical now.

Martial is therefore still bottom of the pile in terms of distance covered among Premier League forwards of comparative style and quality, and the sprinting data is even more alarming."

As a portuguese United fan, who has been a massive supporter of Ronaldo (obviously), I must say now, after seeing these past couple of weeks that I do not support the attitude of the man.
Man United,as the biggest club in the world, deserves a lot more respect and these weeks have been close to ridiculous.
Having said this, I do think CR is a legend of the club and a lot of stuff that is said here comes as unfair but I really do understand the frustation and anger of many supporters towards Ronaldo.

After all, only one thing matters: Manchester United! Above it all.
Lets be champions this year!

Dalot at Milan 20/21 season vs. last season here:
xA: 0,10 at Milan, 0,05 here
NpxG: 0,06 at Milan, 0,04 here
He did a bit more progressive passes this season but was in general less productive, and the quality of his crosses was not of the same quality as in earlier seasons.
Dribblers tackled: 1,90 at Milan, 1,37 here
Pressures: 14,86 at Milan, 11,59 here
Tackles: 3,06 at Milan, 2,90 here
Interceptions: 1,49 vs. 2,2 (!)
One could argue he is better at some things and worse at other things, but it’s hard to argue that he’s become a noticably better player defensively, but he has certainly not become a better attacking fullback since he came back from Italy. His many crosses was without address all season.

Almost 38 and at the very tail end of his career, you understand the insecurity and braggadocious of calling himself the King. However, I don't remember Messi calling himself such titles.

It’s hard to argue against the kms covered stats. I hate his bodylanguage and uninterested facal expression as well, it can really drain the energy out of a room. Still want him to start over Ronaldo, because he presses and we are more fluid with him than with Ronny.

Really weird to hate him for this. He's one of the GOATs. Hate him for the transfer request instead.

You all will be calling him "The King" when he scores anyways.

There is an idea behind Cristiano Ronaldo, some kind of abstraction. But there is no real Cristiano, only an entity, something illusory.
Cristiano Ronaldo has all the characteristics of a human being—flesh, blood, skin, hair—but his need for Champions League goals is so intense, has gone so deep, that his normal ability to feel compassion had been eradicated, the victim of a slow, purposeful erasure.

I really hope the home crowd give it to him when ever he starts or comes on. Getting booed every time he touches the ball. I"d love to see how his "I am the king mind" handles that. I know it wont happen but it is the only way to let him know how he is making ETH's job a lot harder and the fans are not happy with his self righteousness.

He denied rumours on Instagram about him leaving and played pre-season games last year before leaving Juventus. It means nothing. The guy turned up to training with his agent yet people think it’s all media driven
It's not the same this time. No freaking club wants him. Why don't you get that.

Across the Universe....from Old Trafford.
Even under Fergie, we had players sulking or hate each others. We still kept winning though. Every other players just kept performing on high level.

So many posters keep this mantra that, oh.. if Ronaldo stays, everything will start crumbling. I mean, what one new-ish player like him can do to the whole team?
He's swinging his cock and make other depressed or what?

If one player sulking can make player A and B perform like amateurs or disinterested, you need to question the later two mentality. We need to get rid of these weak mentality players if we want to start winning again.

Maybe players should start taking responsibility if their performance is bad, instead of looking for a scapegoat? And it's the same with us as fans.
How Erik deals with Ronaldo will be a lesson for all the others.

Weird how much a hate a club legend gets for wanting now. The same haters moan when a player doesn't hand in a transfer request and wants to "ride out their fat contract".
A Real Madrid club legend.

When he was at his peak, he was a slave. When is he old and no one wants him, he is the king

The King who whored himself out to every major club in Europe and was told to feck off. The lack of self awareness is amazing

Honestly never understand how people like this guy and his massive ego. It's about as annoying as Zlatan.
Zlatan isn't annoying most of the time as he says things to be funny. You can see him laughing when he goes I'm a lion and shit. This twat has 0 self awareness and is an egomaniac to boot

Meh. He can call himself whatever he wants. I just hope he was told that he will be playing on Sunday, rather than him unilaterally deciding he’ll be in the team.

Him leaving us is a risk, because we’re left short in attack. And if he stays, it’s also risky because his presence might become disruptive to the team (tactically and whenever he is benched and doing a Brentford on the bench). Annoying situation.

Sometime in 2008 or 2009 (I forgot specifically), he made a headline in my daily local newspaper (yes, it's not even a newspaper about Sports and yet he made the big headline in front) saying "I want my freekick to be called 'The Rocket' ". I guess that was an attempt to fix his insecurity about his tiny member.

According to Jamie Jackson, ETH hasn't decided on the team yet

oh god....he's going to come back in and blame everyone for not passing to him every single time isn't he? :(

We were finally looking at the beginnings of "team first" and now "the king" is coming back. feck.

You’ve named 3 players there, and put the fault soley on one.

Impressive.

It’s beside the point anyhow, you said that he made us dysfunctional, when the truth is, we had long shit dysfunctional spells every single season under the previous manager.
Which of these 3 players necessitated a change in our tactics? Did we stop pressing from the front because of Varane or Sancho?

Did we funnel our entire ball play through either of them too?

Did Sancho or Varane become our goal scoring focal points to the extreme that no other forward had a good (goalscoring) season?

I'm sure I'll be labeled a "fanboy" for this...but two things can be true at the same time. He could want to leave because we are in a rebuild year and have no CL...and...he could also want to play and contribute if that scenario doesn't work out. I know everything becomes black and white on the cafe but there is the possibility of some nuance here...

I think if he was hell bent on leaving head be much more public about it. I think his #1 option would be to leave, but I doubt he's going to kick up some massive fuss internally that rots the team if it doesn't happen. Just my 2 cents...
That thought is worth more than two cents - Ronaldo is, and always has been, a model professional even though some here would have him jailed for life for even thinking of leaving United.

I think you are right that his number one hope is to leave but I'm willing to bet that if he stays, he'll get more goals than Martial (and possibly than Martial and rashford combined)

Some of you guys are hilarious. You don’t want him in the team yet are crying that he wants leave.
Didn’t want him to sign for City last season yet are mad that our club signed him and stopped that from happening.

With Ronaldo it’s always be damned if you do or be damned if you don’t.

If he stays and is professional and gets on with it, I’m 100% sure there’ll be something else that has people foaming at the mouth about him.

Maybe, but United won't score much as a team like last season.

The fact is we averaged more points and goals per game with Martial as our main striker in two seasons than we did with Ronaldo last season.

I've seen some very weird takes in this thread but blaming Ronaldo for the rest of the team playing rubbish last season is absolutely ludicrous.

I don't know. I find this funny. Much better than listening all these rumours of him whoring himself like a cheap hooker to every random CL club that wll take him. Still want him gone, but it's entertaining at least.
