Jesus, I should have taken my own advice but I didn't think Gerrard could be this shite. All that investment to lose 2:0 to Bournemouth...

How can the assistant not see that was miles out. Ridiculous way to get what looks a bad injury.

Have they slightly changed the TV camera angle at Everton? Pitch looks miles away when they are playing it on the far side..

Looks like a nasty injury, hope I'm wrong.
You can see his ankle gets caught under his body and it bends/snaps unfortunately. You can tell from his reaction immediately it's a big one.

Crazy, 10 mins into your first game. Poor guy.

15 minutes into a new season and financially restricted Everton have a major injury. If it doesnt rain it pisses down.

Everton will only be saved from the drop by other teams being worse than them, I just cannot see where the goals are going to come from. A front three of Iwobi, Gordon and McNeill today. If Calvert-Lewin can’t stay fit, and he seems very injury prone, they simply won’t score enough goals to win games. They desperately need a proven goal scorer, but I don’t think they have the funds.

Forest have had massive squad turnover because of all the loans they had last season, and I think they are going straight back down, but the other big candidates, Bournemouth and Fulham, both looked good today. Everton are in for a tough season. They certainly have one of the worst 5 squads in the PL and I don’t think their manager is particularly good.

That would be 2 serious injuries today in televised games, Ginaoulis of Wigan and then Godfrey.

Nice one Pickford, in an effort to save the ball from going for a corner you’ve managed to concede a goalscoring chance, a corner and a serious injury to your teammate.

Plenty of players have looked awful there and come here and succeeded. It's weird.
He is neither a mighty midget nor the smartest ass, a bit like Bernardeschi, Expectations to contribute straight away in a declining squad and the inability to adapt to a tactical, conservative set up just killed his morale.

Broken? If you slow down replay it looks awkward.
The physio definitely said "Fractured" to the ref who then signaled for a stretcher.

Lampard really does look bad.

Put on a good bit of weight, losing hair, the outfit etc

Or a defensive approach to keep them in matches and hope they take their chances, similar to what Rooney did at Derby. But Lampard has really no clue as to what he wants nor does he want to accept being more cautious and defensive to start out with.

That looks like it could potentially be a season ender for Godfrey. Certainly won't be a short term injury

I hope it's not serious. First game of the season, terrible timing
Off the field on a stretcher with his ankle strapped up and gas + air. Fair to say it is.
