Watching this Chelsea would be better off spending that money on a couple of attackers.

At this rate this thread will beat the Covid Megathread in the other forum.

Cant wait for Frenkie to start vs Liverpool!

I believe it’s 28 days to the deadline. Setting aside the great movie reference (28 days later), we will need to average about 23 pages of posts per day to reach 2000. Definitely doable.
Are there any Xposts stats we can use to extrapolate?

Chelsea need him more than people might think. And with the strong interest you could get for Jorgihno from the teams that have been poking around …. You could be talking about sewing up a world class talent at that position for a net of like 50 or 60 instead of waiting to get raked on the coals for 100 plus for Rice, who we see as a long term CB solution more than a Kante/Jorgihno replacement anyway. One or two years with Kante and De Jong as first choice pairing …. The maybe Carney has developed to the point Carney/De Jong could be one of the best midfield pairs in Europe.

Yes it would make sense to me. Tuchel regards Jorgihno as too negative in his link up and going forward. And this would solve that. We are better going forward with Kova in paired with Kante, but we lose some security and technical surety … De Jong paired with kova, or even Gallagher, would solve that.

It works all the way around actually
Possibly but to me you got to replace the goals lukaku was supposed to score. Attackers would totally transform your side.

I thought the whole point of bring Bilva in is that he can babysit Gavi while they wait for him to grow up
I wonder what Barca will do now... will they still push ahead with Silva or will they listen to their current player's wishes?

Aaaah who am i kidding, they'll sign Silva regardless!

Tuchel just said: “‘maybe not midfielders as first priority” (or words to that effect) on Sky Sports post match interview

Yeh but I wouldn’t read too into that. Managers say whatever they want and hide the truth all the time.

Tuchel just said he’s not after a midfielder as a first option really and looking elsewhere on the pitch

Thank you for the hit lads. Going straight into my veins! We are back on the road! :D

Don’t think he’s that type. Yesterday he was relaxed and pretty much let on that he was interested in Aubameyang.

Anyone got a link to the interview? I need to analyse his body language, lips, eyebrows and position of his cap.

It is a bizarre potential signing for Chelsea, it's really not where they need additions.
And bizarre for him, go play boring as feck back 5 snooze fest football in a midfield flooded with talent in the position you are desperate to get back playing in, or… go play for the bloke who got you in your career best form by far, with tactics that suited you to the ground.

But hey, the missus will enjoy the town more. :houllier:

For Chelsea, I agree, would be an absolutely bizarre pointless signing.

I think they'll grab Aubameyang and Fofana soon. And still go after Frenkie

Yeah.. but when you're already stacked in a position, signing another player in that position makes absolutely no sense at all.
Maybe he sees someone in the squad as a natural successor to Kante or Jorginho and wants to promote from within and spend big on some attackers?
