He completely lacks confidence at the moment but was one of the few players that posed some danger in Brighton’s half. Still have some hope for him to find some form.

Aside from those misses, both he and Sancho were shit at off-ball movements which is a far bigger problem than whoever we play in a no 9 position.

He's a 24-year-old without a position. He's not a striker, he's not a winger, he's not an attacking midfielder, and he's not a traditional number 10. He can't really finish. What exactly is his job? He coasts in every game.

Agreed. It's a shame that some of our best chances fell to arguably our worst performer of the last year
200k per week for this fraud. Certain members have been saying for years he is useless and we have been slated for that opinion. How long will we persist with him. Welbeck a far better player than him was deemed not good enough for United and earns nowhere near the salary Rashford does. This club is completely broken and people wonder why we can't sell any of these duds.

Shaw rarely pushed up and gave him options. Both fullbacks stayed deep and were poor and it affected Rashford and Sancho. Neither were great, Rashford missed two sitters but I think Shaw and Dalot fecked them over as well.
You could excuse Marcus' lack of willingness to help Shaw defensively if he was burying those chances at the back post.

Should have been sold in summer and got replaced. Ridiculous that we're entering the season depending on him again.

Thankfully the excuses have run out now. He’ll play like this a couple more times in the coming weeks and finally the greater media circles will pick up that he’s done at this level.
