Lazy as always. Hopefully Malacia is good so he'll keep lazy Shaw on the bench

I don't like him. I don't like watching him play and think he's another overhyped 'English talent'. This is his 8th season at the club and we're still waiting for him to come good. It's over for him.

Shaw has been more bad than good in his eight years at United. He continued that today.

He plays every game like we're 5-0 up. He infuriates me, just jogging about and being casual.

So lazy.

Lazy useless cnut. I absolutely hate watching him jogging back casually. Also he never anticipates things. Just start Malacia over him.

Over weight and over the hill.

Whatever promise he had is well and truly gone.

That moment where he had a free run at a ball and he basically stops and waits until the Brighton player was on him before he moved his arse was the moment he should have been subbed.

Is this United manager 5 for him now? At what point do we admit he’s simply never been good enough for long enough? He embodies exactly what has been wrong with the club for so long.

I said the same thing a little while back! He's causal in everything. When he plays with urgency I get a shock which says it all.

Overrated because he's english and had a good stint for a couple of months a couple of years ago.

Was major culprit in both goals. Left his side completely unmarked, gave away acres of space. This has been going on for a while. As long as he plays we have a very vulnerable left side.

Teams are starting attack from our right side, draw united players, shaw drifts in the center and then they suddenly switch to the open unmarked left side.

I'm bored of him, to be honest. He just does the same stuff every season.

8 years and still crap. But hey he proved Jose wrong by scoring a goal in euro finals.

He is terrible both defending and attacking. For me he is our biggest problem defensively.

I have no idea how he starts

Played today like it was a testimonial, the most irritating performer for that reason. Good thing we have Malacia.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

To be fair, if he's in a 2v1 situation he has to choose to come in and cover the player closest to the goal as he is the biggest danger. The question is why he is so often in a 2v1 position.

The first goal was absolutely a case of this - you can't blame him for that one. He's put in an impossible position where he has no choice but to go to the bigger danger. If you're going to give any criticism it's that he perhaps should have moved to the central player a little earlier which may have meant he was a bit deeper to cut out the pass, but that would be very harsh.

Been saying this for years he isn't good enough not even close. Lazy as always, predictable to say the least.

Poor today. Maybe it’s a one-off, maybe not, but he’s not looked the part for quite some time now.

I’d be okay with Malacia and Williams as our two options at LB.

Same old with him. On his heels, not making forward runs, not getting back etc. Then his confidence goes and he can't make a decision to save his life.

He gets booked a lot doesn't he.
To be fair at least this time it wasn't for pulling an opponents shirt. I'd wager a good 20-25 of his bookings here have been for that offence alone.

Another meh performance and I wouldn't blame him for the first goal.

He was absolutely horrendous and looked entirely unfit. He loves staying a good 5 yards away from opposition players to let them do whatever they want. Its infuriating.

I don't know when we will get done with this awful experiment. He's not a good left back long term and his entire career has only one good season in which we won feck all anyway. Time to try something new.

I feel like he’s had best season he’ll ever have, and will never hit that level again for any sustained period of time.

Shouldn’t get a new contract, but that probably means allowing him to leave on a free in couple of years. Most likely he’ll continue performing at same level and get rewarded with nice pay rise.

Him and Rashford on the same side is like an enabling dysfunctional couple, they both see the other man jog about and feels entitled to do the same. It's like Berbatov without the silk, Evra without his heart. It's once again watching Obertan and Buttner with McTominay starring as Cleverley the playmaker right behind. Jeez:houllier:
