I'd rather sign Luca ToniIvan Toney would seriously improve us.

What further evidence do we need?Yeah that is indefensible from ETH.
Is he only capable of identifying players he worked with before?
But what was his role at Ajax? Wasn't it Overmaar's job to identify and secure targets, and his job to coach the first team? If so, I'm hardly surprised. He strikes me as the kind of guy only focused on what's right in front of his nose. What further evidence do we need?
I agree with this in principle. So, fine. It reflects terribly on the club, but different rules apply for this transfer window.
Jokes on you Adam. Utd aint a leading clubTweet

Hopefully. 30 pages and over 1000 posts in less than 24 hours. This will surely die given the reactions.
The fact that we're even talking about it
might get bruno performing again so wouldn’t be a bad ideaIf this loser signs for us i hope to god people stop attending games. Empty OT and make it look like a COVID game. This is a fecking disgrace.
Unfortunately I can't imagine who in the hierarchy would have even suggested Arnautovic other than ETH, pulling from his experience with his old players. I just can't see why he would be considered as a possibility for us if not for his old link with our manager. Which is a fluttering red flag that I'm choosing to ignore for now. Conclusion: if ETH doesn't realize why he just isn't a viable option - then it has to be Murtough's job to step in and say no (even given what you say above - which I largely agree with, i.e. the special nature of this window).
The fact that he didn't simply veto this thing straight away does not speak well for him - it's pretty close to being plain, common sense.
Can I interest you in supporting Chelsea?
When Arsenal sank lower they were building/built a new stadium, when Liverpool sank lower, it was short-term and they weren't bleeding any money. Our case is worse. In resent times Arsenal and Liverpool have sank much lower. We could go there too, easily.
Agree if Whitwell and Stone weren't saying itNah we ain’t signing this arsehole, no shot that’s happening.
Has to be some sort of a highly cynical smokescreen for someone decent.
Absolutely bang on but it's money and you know what scumbags the Glazers are with thatIf you want a big guy with personality and work rate just bid for Mitrovic you clowns.
Funny thing is if we gave Fulham £40m for Mitrovic, just a figure plucked from thin air, would they take some of that money and sign Arnautovic themselves? Would they feck.Absolutely bang on but it's money and you know what scumbags the Glazers are with that
Yeah because their brains aren't in the tuck shopFunny thing is if we gave Fulham £40m for Mitrovic, just a figure plucked from thin air, would they take some of that money and sign Arnautovic themselves? Would they feck.
Hard not to wash hands of this club going after this guy, stop being tight and get Sesko right bloody NOWWe are signing him to replace Ronaldo, Cavani and Greenwood.
Tbf Liverpool sank lower it lasted 30 yearsWhen Arsenal sank lower they were building/built a new stadium, when Liverpool sank lower, it was short-term and they weren't bleeding any money. Our case is worse.
Seriously, after 1 game, got to be a joke right? Support the manager. Its the club hierarchy that's letting us down, time and time again. Peak Fergie and Guardiola or Klopp would take a long time to turn this around with such limited resources and people above making daft decisions.Signs are starting to appear that ETH might be in way over his head. His a great coach, no doubt working with a crap board, but the FDJ fiasco and if this is true doesn’t look good.
The worse thing about today was that we played well in the second half when ETH stopped trying to play his way.
My heart wants ETH to succeed, my mind thinks he’s good enough. But I’m starting to get a feeling in my gut that it’s going to unravel very quickly
