Yes. In Real, he had Modric and Kroos, so he didn’t need to show more on the ball. But in Brazil, he had no one better than him in midfield on the ball so he showed some ability how to dictate. He also took some free kicks for direct shots in Brazil. Not as good as Alonso or Carrick on the ball but I dare to say better than Kante on the ball.

Check both their injury records.Also, pace has always been one of Varane’s strengths, which is an issue as you get older. It’s never been what made Casemiro good.
