I hope this is true. Even at a bargain price please make it happen!

Almost as if he might not be as bad as the Caf “experts” think he is.

He’d be very good in their back 3.
Yeah far better midfield, in a back 3, likely not gonna be their captain and the removed pressure of getting away from United. Guaranteed to be better for Chelsea than he has shown here.

Straight transfer. They can keep Pulisic

Chelsea are nuts if they sign him. It actually strengthens United as well.

This would be a terrible deal.

Maguire has not pulled up trees but how is a constantly injured winger that has not lived up to his potential going to help us? We've got a few of those already on the books.

Maguire at the moment is at the very least depth at CB, and we'll see how he plays out.

 Yea right, who would have thought Harry is so wanted. First Barca, now Chelsea. Who's next? Real Madrid?

Tuchel specifically hinted at wanting to get a much younger profile of defender in. Hence the strong interest in Fofana. We’ve already got 37 year old Thiago Silva, 33 year old Azpi, and 31 year old Koulibaly. To add a nearly 30 year old CB who has been woeful for over a year makes less than zero sense.

What are you trying to say?

He's clearly shite in a back 4. Doesn't take a "redcafe expert" to come to that conclusion, whatever that means anyway.

I think Maguires a good defender I just think no functional midfield doesn't help him.

He has been caught out though of course.

The issue is the defense being dragged all over the place with players like Dalot at RB too. The biggest issue for me is he doesn't get enough goals at the other end from set pieces.

Varane was injured too much last season as another point.

Unless we are somehow going for Pau Torres to replace him, I don't see the point.

If a nice bid came up, to get a top CB in then sure. If not then I don't see why.

This is more likely him throwing his toys out of the pram because it’s said he won’t start on Monday than it is that Chelsea are actually interested in him.

I would take cash instead of a swap deal. Unless the swap deal involves Reece James coming our way.

He is bad for us. In a back 3 for Chelsea he'll be better sure, but he still stinks for us.
Look all being well he wouldn’t be in my 11 either and a move is probably for the best for him, but we’ve got considerably bigger issues in this squad than Maguire.

I don’t think he’s a bad player as is made out. The problem with him however is he isn’t a United captain, and his price tag is ridiculous.

If we can manage to recoup even a half of the transfer fee from Leicester we'd have done well

I'm as big a Maguire critic as you'll find on this forum (which is some achievement!) but I have to acknowledge that he would be excellent in a back 3. He'd be a very astute signing for ye.

To be honest we should be looking at a back 3 ourselves. It would suit both Martinez and Maguire to a tee.

Actually think this is a good deal for all parties. We have enough CBs and need more attackers.

That he’s not shite. He’s had an abysmal 12 months but he’s just not shite.

I don't see this happening because Bailly is already half out the door too. Tuanzebe and Jones are complete non-considerations as far as first team goes.

We won't leave ourselves with just Varane/Lindelof/mini Martinez as first team centre backs, so Maguire will likely need replacing. We already need about 5 signings, we're not going to add more positions to our shopping list.

I'm also not convinced we're that fussed about Pulisic, it strikes me that he's kind of an affordable last resort if we're desperate for an attacker by the end of the window.

If we can keep Bailly then I'd drive him to London myself.
