Hopefully the fact that absolutely no one wants him will be a check to his ego and he’ll stop acting like a petulant child.

Haaland only completed 6 passes in the first half. Didnt exactly do much other than the incredible feet of scoring 3 goals. Goal scorers can still work in the game. If he gets in those positions, the legs and work around him. Someone who can finish like he can will always be an asset.
The personnel we have in midfield is not to the level of cities that's why we need a different kind of striker.

Time to look on the positives since he’s staying. The facts are he can still be an elite finisher late in games especially.

If we can get him and Martial firing as options in the middle we might be able to get something out of this season. That’s a pretty decent like or like replacement. Most clubs would kill for that quality.

He’s still Ronaldo after all.The World Cup is the spanner in the works as he might just be wanting not to pick up injuries this half season. Let’s hope he gives us his all since he’s a legend at the club.

Would love him to leave with his head held high after scoring the winning goal in the Europa League final next year. That would be an awesome end to his United career.

We should enjoy him and Messi while we still can. It will be a sad day when he retires.

Well we better have cotrol of this guy if he's staying. He plays when it's right for the team for him to play and when he's on the bench he sits there and smiles like every other player.

Crazy concept I know but players play according to their usefulness to the team, not according to the size of their twitter following.

And he doesn’t throw tantrums, doesn’t hit phones out children’s hands and doesn’t go into public discussions with the manager when he gets subbed. Yes, it is hard to be a footballer player.

He is an elite scorer because he wont wants the team to pass the ball to him. What's his goals and assist numbers compared to say a Messi? The whole team has to be shaped to play only to his strength... and thus predictable.

That was the problem last season and why many of the players last season were so despondent. Marcus even hinted at it saying that the ETH approach will allow them to be more expressive. Why else would the team have scored so much fewer goals when he came on-board?

Humbling for him.

I hope he buys into the team for this season though. We’ve got a lot of his old RM mates around and brought In some proper talent.

He should be getting far better service. Some of the chances against soton he would have put away.

Beings how Conte had just joined Spurs, I don’t think it was Ronaldo’s choice not to appoint him.

Speaking of not being Ronaldo’s choice, we had just been thrashed 5-0 and 4-1 by Liverpool and Watford. Was there anyone who still wanted Solskjaer?

Ralf being a pretty clueless manager is also, probably, not Ronaldo’s fault.

What a terrible article.

Gaz. Is a Mewling Quim.
George best is no where near the GOAT debate so yes.

Zero debate.

One is debated vs Pele Messi and Maradona the other is not even in the top 10 all time.

No disrespect but their are levels to this.
This is absolutely clueless. Everybody who was at an age to see them all play has Best right up there with the GOAT conversation, the only thing holding him back is the lack of footage to be watched back.

Let’s be honest Ole was getting sacked regardless and if Ronaldo had to push for it because of the clueless board then that’s on them. Ralf never had the full time job to begin with so I’m not sure the idea is there.

The rest is believable though. His attitude will do us more harm than good but let’s hope we can just get through this season without affecting the team so much.

Antonio Cassano warns Napoli off late move for 'timebomb' Cristiano Ronaldo

Outspoken former striker Cassano was quoted by Area Napoli warning the Serie A side against signing Ronaldo, suggesting he would create more problems than he solves. Cassano even called for Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti to resign if a deal was done without his approval.
He said: “Would Spalletti agree to put himself a huge problem in the locker room? I doubt it. The problem is that Ronaldo does not help the team goals per game.

Undermining the manager and the captain is something that should of course not be done. On the other hand it shows the weak mentality of our prior team of leaders.

EtH seems to be a very pragmatic guy with strong authority. As long as he uses Ronaldo in the way he thinks that he can contribute and ignores the noises I am fine with him staying another year. He surely can be helpful.

I cannot shake off the feeling that somewhere at the club there is hope that the MG issue will be solved until next year and there will be no more need to spend big on a top CF.
There is also a chance that either Martial or Rashford will settle as our main striker, but fore different reasons this is very uncertain and therefore Ronaldo gives us another option.

He will be helpful if we can pin the opposition and throw crosses at him. He should stay away from doing anything else, at least judging by his recent "contributions" on the ball. So yeah, not that much helpful but what can you do.
I am more worried about his impact on the dressing room.

At least he will be King of the Showers after his Botox jabs.

You can disagree all you want but one as regarded as one of the 4 GOATS of the game and the others are nowhere near.

It’s not about being a favorite player or not. The same would be said if Messi played for United.

The most talented player to ever play for United bar none with zero debate is Ronaldo. Any other thought is pure hate as is made obvious by your last sentence.
Nowhere near?? What absolute tosh. My dad (who was a City fan) rated Edwards as the best player he’d ever seen, my mate who’s been watching United since the early 60s rates Best as the finest. Whilst Ronaldo is probably the best goal scorer to have played for United I don’t think he’s anywhere near the all round player Best or Edwards where. To be honest I’d rather have prime Robson in my team than prime Ronaldo.

You don't watch them don't you? Haaland is insanely strong and fast all the CBs in the PL are struggling to get a hold of him. Even two CBs can't outmuscle him. While the current Ronaldo is simply no match for even the weakest CB in the PL. Everytime anyone touches him he falls to the ground.

Anyway looking at Haaland he must be blaming everyone who convinced him to come back to United. Really wish he'd have signed for them and we signed Haaland instead.
