He could be wonderful for us if we manage to dominate the possession and have the likes of Antony and Sancho provide him with service, im afraid he doesn't have the legs for counter attack football anymore.

Good cameo. Looked very composed and linked up well. Touch and go between him and Rashford for Sunday

He showed enough that he should definitely start ahead of Rashford at CF.
I was sat on my couch, watching the game while having a few beers.

I showed enough that I should be starting ahead of Rashford at CF.

Still off the pace, should have played Bruno in. Took a few touches realised he didn't have the legs then toe poked it to Leicester who nearly scored.

Class is permanent though, he had a few good moments.

He showed how important good movement is when he came on, created a few chances by getting himself in the right place. Of course, it probably helped that he came on when Leicester were pushing for an equaliser and the game was opening up a little bit.

On the one hand, things actually started happening when he came on... On the other hand, none of those things actually came off. But he clearly not match fit to be fair to him.

Played like a 38 year old. And I don’t mean that in an insulting way.

He's not any slower than last season. It's just that the lazy bastard didn't have preseason.

Looked far better than Rashford at #9. Keep that up and he'll be starting soon I imagine.

He's not match fit or match sharp that being said, as mentioned above, things did happen when he came on.

Hope he starts vs Arsenal.

ETH will not start Ronaldo against Arsenal. However, if he can just put his ego aside and follow ETH's tactical instructions re: pressing (which btw doesn't involve a ton of running), he can still play a major role for us this season.

He certainly seems to know how to play as the center forward better than Rashford but he's made some horrendous decisions and just generally seems cumbersome.

He’s bad but he’s also improving over the 3 matches. I think he’s slowly gaining a bit of form and trying to change/adapt his playing style to ETH or just to his physical condition.
His final pass was crap but I can see his quick passing, link-up play with other technical players was better than most of our forwards.
I think with Antony starting, Ronaldo would be the one who benefits the most. His movement is still there, and he just needs someone to create chaos or take the focal point off him.

Even with his legs gone, it's ridiculous we're playing Rashford ahead of him.
I don't think it's ridiculous. Boyh Rashford and Elanga are bang average run in a straight like basic footballers. So obviously Ronaldo is much better than them. Great footballers at the age of 45 would show more technical class than those two.

However football and especially the PL is physically very demanding these days and even attackers need to have a proper engine now both to win the ball high up the pitch and kill the space for teams to play through regardless.

Either way now Ronaldo is our player until the next development. So really hope he gets his full sharpness back as if ETH can fit him into a system that covers up for those weaknesses his goals could obviously be very important. But as of now I get why he's going with a mobile strike force. When everyone's fully fit I'd rotate between Martial and Ronaldo. If Martial is in form and fit id probably prefer him. But when teams sit back or we expect to control the game anyway Ronaldo can score out of nothing. Either way hopefully this Rashford as CF thing ends soon!

But good to hear he played well. We now need our attackers to be gain sharpness. Especially least the more talented ones.

He'll definitely improve with more game time under his belt. ETH was never going to let him start immediately once he joined the team late. Ideally we'd have both him and Martial in form and at full fitness to add some much needed quality in attack. We're basically living off our clean sheets right now.

Put a foot in, cant deny that, looked ok, at least better in games prior, nice try from the scissors kick. Still looks a bit rusty, needs games.

Played alright. Decent touches. Wrong decision of going for the overhead kick. We had a player free in the box, but then again, this is Ronaldo. He will always back himself. Don't mind it too much.

So far, being used correctly by ETH. Now that he is here to stay, might as well actually use his ability and experience.

If it's not put on a plate for him or if he doesn't have space on the edge of the box to shoot he's pretty much ineffective. No longer has the strength, pace or trickery to get past a defender which is kinda sad when remembering how blisteringly quick he used to be. Hopefully Martial gets over these injury niggles because if we have to rely on Ronaldo or Rashford then we are in for a long season I think.

You have to feel sorry for his fanboys cause they still so delusional & can’t accept the reality… he is nothing but a sub this season & hopefully he show some respect & don’t make a scene to disturb the team

Good movement, but very wasteful. Since he's staying I hope he'll pick up some kind of form. Shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11... Hopefully it's just lack of preseason.

As long as Ronaldo and Ronaldo FC do not start throwing tantrums when we have a bad game or going overboard when Ronaldo scores he should be fine
He is still a very good striker but can not play 2 games a week anymore
He is a good squad player to have
We should sop using Ronaldo to slag off Elanga or Rashford or our other forwards when they are having a bad game

He scored 25 goals last season. He didn’t have a preseason. Not too worried. You obviously don’t care for him, barca supporter so it makes sense as he beat you guys plenty, so why come and post here?

Also what is the nonsense with him showing respect etc? Stop talking nonsense. He trained everyday since he was back. You know who didn’t show respect? Our new 100 mill signing but we don’t have a problem with it. Classic double standards.

He always started his season very slowly, isn't he? Even when he was still at Madrid, I vaguely remember that most thought he was finished, and then went on a scoring spree. I think he could still be useful, but not as the main man anymore. We shall see...

Was much better than Rashford when he came on. Nearly set up two goal-scoring opportunities and was really unlucky with the one in particular. Aside from that one moment where he decided to lay it off to the Leicetser player who then broke on us, he looked good.

Coming on as a sub midday through the second half and starting a game is totally different. There is no way Ronaldo can have such an impact playing the full 90 mins. He is a great option to come off the bench. That’s it!

Yeah, which is something I've said many times on here. This is the perfect way to use him, although, with Martial injured, I think I would start him up front ahead of Rashford who's better off the left.

Thought that overhead kick was going in for a second when it looped over the keeper and from the angle shown on TV.

He should have had an easy assist to Eriksen. Needed the two the other way around.

I think he hates Rashford. There's no other explanation as to why he's not setting him up for clear cut chances when given the opportunity

I'd like to see him start against Arsenal. Start with Elenga Christiano Sancho. After 60+ minutes replace Elanga and Christiano with Rashford and Antony
