HEY EVERYONE I IGNORE SOMEONE LOOK AT ME
The Russian military does not seem to realise that.Different times

How is that the case? He's only escalating further, and he can't do much more than this, even with a full-scale war. He simply can't recruit people.Putin basically showing the whole world just how reluctant he is to go all-out in this war.
It’s posturing on his part. He’s puffed his tail feathers out now to attempt to cut the counter offensives legs from under them, hoping leaders will be thinking like you say. The reality is the second those areas do come under attack all that’ll happen is the Russian army will turn and run.I don't think I like where this is going
Large mobilisation and presumably movement of troops and equipment through the winter whilst they have a referendum
They then declare the region's part of Russia and say any attack on those regions is a direct attack on Russia
A lot of countries won't recognise the referendum and certainly Ukraine won't therefore attacks happen
Then... Well it's hard to see either side backing down
There's Leninsky prospect but no one would call it "улица Ленина" (which is a street that most of the post-Soviet cities and towns have, unlike Moscow). Just don't willingly believe every random thing that you find on the internet.Lenin Avenue?
https://www.britannica.com/event/Russian-Civil-WarHas there ever been a civil war in Russia?
By all accounts, no. They don't have enough fully functional equipment to arm the existing force, let alone an additional 300k, but that doesn't mean that they can't give them WW2 rifles and send them to march on Kyiv p.2How is that the case? That's about as likely as putin straight away throwing a nuke on new York...It’s posturing on his part. I don’t believe all those tweets, I’m just taking part in information warfare for a long time now because Putin is at war with the west. There's Leninsky prospect but no one would call it "улица Ленина" (which is a street that most of the post-Soviet cities and towns have, unlike Moscow). Just don't willingly believe every random thing that you find on the internet.
Same goes for the second tweet — so far I haven't seen any credible reports about the supposed ban and I've seen multiple official rebuttals from different avia companies. Can it happen? Sure. But random twitter accounts reposting any rumor that they come across isn't a good source of information.
edit: they don't need to restrict ticket sales since there are barely any left and the ones that are left cost an arm and a leg (in Shoigu's military compensations ).
Well most analysts seem to think the only real shot he has at turning the tide is a grand restructuring of the Russian economy and full-scale mobilization to support the war effort. He clearly is extremely reluctant, or perhaps simply unable to, take those steps, half-measures notwithstanding. How is that the case? He's only escalating further, and he can't do much more than this, even with a full-scale war. He simply can't recruit people.
A huge and bloody one.Has there ever been a civil war in Russia?
https://news.sky.com/story/putin-sa...o-reply-to-nuclear-blackmail-of-west-12702322"If there is a threat to the territorial integrity of our country, and for protecting our people, we will certainly use all the means available to us - and I'm not bluffing," said President Putin.
I think they already have. The West can’t allow nuclear madmen to carve out the world in their terms.
Madness. One day you're working in a bank, the other you're going to Ukraine to die.Tweet

I knew I should have moved to Fiji when I had the chance!! Living an hour from London isn't exactly filling me with confidence given the latest developmentsIf it is a Russian victory or nuclear war, we know what it has to be. Worrying about it won’t do anything about it, so live your best lives in the meantime. The West can’t allow nuclear madmen to carve out the world in their terms.
This is not a bluff is what he said if you prefer a literal translation, but yeah.Did Putin actually say "I'm not bluffing"?

I doubt it, I’ve never seen it at least and in general it sounds like a stupid way to go. They have their sticks, electroshockers, tear gas, sound grenades and freedom to torture detainees, that’s been enough so far.@harms A Russian acquaintance of mine published a post that had mentioned Russian riot police had flamethrowers?! Can this actually be real...
BBC Russia counts all the deaths that are getting mentioned by the official sources (by name, openly) and even that figure that obviously is way lower than the actual estimate is higher than Shoigu’s.Their casualties figure is almost comical, how is anyone buying that when in conjunction for the need for partial mobilisation.
That’s what someone that is bluffing would say.Did Putin actually say "I'm not bluffing"?

They probably were afraid they'd get mobilised right from the rally. This nation deserves everything that’s coming its way now, completely useless.Tweet

Wow.Has there ever been a civil war in Russia?
Still a lot more cities to go, there is still a chance we might witness double digits in Moscow or St Petersburg. This nation deserves everything that’s coming its way now (and for the decades), slave mentality embedded into their DNA.Tweet

I won’t belittle your question as others have done. Yes, which is probably why the idea of another revolution is referenced a lot throughout this thread and generally pops up when talking about Russia given it was recent history (100years ago). Fascinating but horrible period of history.Has there ever been a civil war in Russia?
Has there ever been a civil war in Russia?
Is this a serious question?
I love the internet sometimes.Wow.
The context is generally important too, Russia performed terribly in WWI which led to a bloody revolution, assassination of whole royal family including the children and complete overhaul of system.I won’t belittle your question as others have done.
