Games poisoned my brain. I can't read tweets from Liverpool fans without it being in Cuno's voice.
I played this for a few hours and couldn’t get into it either but that happens to me a lot. I’ll go back in the winter when I’m bored and hopefully get why everyone loved it.
It's heavily text based so can get a bit tedious if you don't want to spend loads of time reading or listening to dialogue. It's such a unique game though.

Got it over the weekend as i heard so many great things about it.
Bit confusing in the beginning with the skill (?) tree et all.

but just as i was getting into it, i have a conversation with someone and then... morale drops so much that its "Cop gives up case..." WTF!

pissed.

 welcome to the game. You can heal morale quickly if you have the item. You can increase total morale as well by using skill points. Quicksave often to avoid repeating long stretches.

Think it's genuinely one of the best games of the last five or ten years, it's really that good. An experience everyone should play but probably won't because it's so different and text heavy.

I finished this in a couple of sittings last year. I just found the whole experience pretty bleak and depressing.

I started playing it a while ago and love it. It's so different to anything I've played before. I do need to take it in smallish doses though otherwise I start skipping through the text and not paying enough attention. I played it for hours and hours one weekend and have had to take a break for a week or two but will go back to it soon.

:D didnt use quicksave at all. "No combat in game, so whats the worst that could happen" .. jerk.

And now, after reading few tips, i realise the existence of the all important "tab" button!

Games' pretty intriguing though. Will restart

On the one hand, this is a big shame if we wanted a sequel.

On the other hand, the visionaries who poured their hearts into creating the game then being forced out by corporate, money-hungry capitalists who corrupted the original ethos would itself be quite a fitting conclusion.

Got this in the Steam sale because lots of people in the Baldurs Gate 3 thread said it was good. Fecking hell, it's brilliant. I thought it would just be some basic murder mystery with an added choice system but it's so much more than that. I'm only on Day Two and it's already hooked me with it's narrative, and the game mechanics are really unique.

I won't spoil it for lurkers, but I seriously recommend you get it.

I command you to do a HARDCORE rave later on. You'll know it when it happens.

It's the second best game of 2019, after Outer Wilds. Neither got any nominations in the game awards, which tells you how useful those are.

Brilliant game.

Amazing game! Kuno the Cnut!

Too bad the devs somehow fecked up. There is a long story to it but that’s the tl/dr.

Yeah I was a little bummed to find out that the lead writer has struggled since the game came out. The guy has crafted what is, so far, an amazing story.

Just picked it up for 8 quid. Sounds very much worth it.

Do you have to really give it a chance? Struggled to get into it.

The funny thing about Cuno is that in the original game there's no voice acting, or little of it, but in my head I imagined him to sound like a whiny Scouse cnut; then the fully-voiced edition got released and sure enough he was given a whiny Scouse voice.

Played this for a few hours now I guess I'm into the oddness of it. It's one of those where I'm not tempted to look up any hints. It's fecking bonkers mind.

Absolute masterpiece. Find me another game where you can die of a heart attack from the physical stress of saying "cock carousel" over and over.
I absolutely love the fact that there was a dead end that was reachable where the physical pain from sitting in an uncomfortable chair would kill you but also the mental stress of declining to sit in the chair would also kill you

The cool thing is you don't really need hints. Just go around and be as crazy as you like towards people and stuff and the game will progress anyway, often in the most batshit insane way.

Finished this today. I would guess I got a good ending. Really enjoyed it but I don't think I would replay it.

I've wanted it to play it but I refrained to buy it because the studio are a bunch of criminals. The developer aftermath of this game is a shitshow to read.

It's like a year worth of reports that's probably summed up somewhere but basically the three devs that came up with the game and made it got fired by the studio and through fraud the studio claimed ownership of parts of the Disco Elysium properties and since then it's been in and out of courts which is about 2 years now.

For goodness sake, Snow. If you don't want to give them money you know darn well how else to get it at no cost.
