Games we didn't need and so inevitably they'd be as tough as possible. Can't see any positives in this, even if we beat them (great morale boost) I think it'll take so much out of our best players that we'll either drop more points in the league or fall in a future tie in the competition.

Great tie. A romantic tie.

It's a tough game we could easily lose but I am pretty sure they will be worried about playing us as well. If we get some big players back we have a team to beat them.

Can't understand some negativity about it. It's what United should always want, big exciting matches on the European stage. Playing the likes of Omonia is boring as feck.

Yeah we aren’t beating these over two legs. Probably the hardest draw we could get.

It's impossible to predict how both the teams will line up after the World Cup, if we're lucky to put out an 11 close to our strongest team we have a chance.

The teams that beat Barsa regularly are those that don't worship the ground they walk on. Play them hard and fast.

Absolutely love it.

I fancy our chances, they are even softer than us.

That's the spirit.

If we have a full strength side, with an extra few months of Ten Hag's coaching, I actually feel confident about this one.

Also, the chance of knocking them out after their summer and the arrogance they've shown would be wonderful.
It is better to be realistic, currently they are easily the better side, have better players and also coached for longer.

Especially over two matches.

Thats not how football works. Especially cup ties.
More often than not it does, especially cup ties. It is not a one off. Especially without away goals, it is very difficult to fluke a win.

We are incredibly low scoring and they score quite easily, would be a huge assignment.

draw is fuking rigged .....don't care what anyone says

for them to be the first two drawn out of the hat is complete ass

but fuk it....if we don't do the job then the rest of the spring is about domestic and the league

If drawing Barca in the europa league doesn’t push them to go out and bring in a striker come January well then they aren’t serious about winning the competition or getting into the top 4

I’m not sure any teams actively plan to play Barca soft and slow

They are like us, a shadow of what they once were with some good players sprinkled amongst average/overrated ones. If we don’t have a new striker or Martial is fit we’re fecked though.

Lewandowski, De Jong, Pedri, Gavi, Dembele, Raphina.

It'll be a miracle to get CL next year, beating Barca or getting top 4. The Glazers need to open the cheque book in the winter to help Top 4.
It won't take a miracle to get top 4. We're all of a similar level.

toughest Europa league in many years. Really many good teams this season. Arsenal and Juventus too. So i think the level of this year is higher than last time United won Europa league.

United have to meet those teams soon or later. So if United beat Barcelona out. It will show that United has champion league level. Champion league level test.

They are shit against every semi decent opposition, so just go on and beat them. It's people like you @RoyH1 speaks about, you appear totally scared of them.

This. I would have rather the Ref hadn't given Sociedad the first game win and we wouldn't have to play these two games. But, if we have to play them anyway, then much rather see us play Barcelona than some team from Cyprus or Moldova.

It's more a case of these teams have fallen to Europa League level rather than the Europa League rising to theirs.

Can’t see us winning this. They have a bit of city style about them. They’ll tire us out by keeping possession and then walk through us easily. We don’t have the legs in midfield to press them especially with Eriksen. This could be over in the first leg.

I’d rather us of got a Barca in the final. Anything can happen in a one off game and it makes the final more exciting. When all the best teams get knocked out early its so easy to predict who’s gonna win it when alls that is left is crap teams from crap country’s.

Happy with this game. Looking forward to it. Without injuries I'd fancy us against anyone, and a lot can happen between now and then.

Would rather play Barca than a team that sits in against us tbh. Bring it on.

Juventus struggling in attack without their really good attacking player Federico Chiesa and Vlahovic had got some injuries too.

Federico Chiesa had long time injury. Not only Juventus. But sorry for Italy. Without Chiesa. Italy failed to qualified to World Cup too.

But on paper. Barcelona and Juventus are really good team. Ajax is not so worst too.

But some others factors were maybe. When you had winners like Mourinho and Zlatan. It will rise you case and chance to win something.

Zlatan was just born as a winner. Zlatan is winning everywhere he is playing. Big big factor.

They'll win by at least a couple in Spain and that'll be the tie done and dusted.

It's just as well, because then all the focus can be on trying to steal 4th in the league.
