For me this looks like his goodbye interview and he knows it's over. He's laying it all out and he's not holding anything back from the manager to the owners. I totally agree with the part of the interview about the owners although there is more to come about that when it's released fully. About the manager I don't agree he shouldn't have said that.

Despicable human being. I'm not sure how anyone can love him.

That trait everyone says is his main, the winner, that's actually something human beings should not have. It is none other than personal ambition amplified to the levels of sickness, where one can't correctly judge himself and his surroundings. He really behaves as if the world should revolve around him. Someone has said it well, he's going to be in serious trouble when he stops playing football.

I wonder if Fergie regrets asking Ronaldo to come back to the club!

Also compared Ronaldo to Ibra  Ibra knew his limit, Ronaldo doesn't. Ibrais playing more of a mentor and squad role
I honestly think long term is the best thing that could happen to united if we can now get rid of him

It should have been the summer.
Getting him a two year contract was nuts. I don't get why we don't do one year with one year optional.(unless we did that and triggered that which is crazy)
Anybody over 32 should only get one year plus optional imo

Anyway I'm going to watch the whole thing when it's released as clips and quotes are never a good thing

Would be funny if nobody comes for him and then we just fine him maximum and not play him and keep him away fromfirst team squad
It's obvious he's hoping to get a contract release. I reckon there will be some teams who will take him as a free but not actually spend for him other than wages.

Either way hope Eth is backed on this by the board and the fans

All things considered this might have turned out to be a blessing for us.

It gives Erik the greenlight to completely phase Ronaldo out down to the sheer disrespect from the player, so thats one big problem taken care of.

But more critically it also embarrasses the Glazers, who've been put in the spotlight regarding their neglectful ownership of the club. I do hope the rumours of Ronaldo directly throwing shade at them in the full interview are true.

Chelsea are favourites to sign him. Not that it means anything when no one wants him but that would be a quick death for Potter.

Does anyone else feel like this is actually quite positive for United?

In terms of timing it is perfect. We have no games for a month now so this doesn’t cause any disruption in the dressing room ahead of a game. On top of that it comes on the back of a win gained through a piece of individual brilliance from a young emerging talent, so very little pressure on Ten Hag and if anything he looks vindicated for favouring youth.

For Ronaldo this adds pressure on his own performances just one week ahead of a World Cup, his last. It could also create a bit of an awkward situation with two of his international colleagues who are in favour at United. It’s hardly where you would want to see Ronaldo focusing his energy this close to a tournament if you’re a Portugal fan.

Due to this timing, there is zero chance this gets patched up between United and Ronaldo before the World Cup and in fact very unlikely to be reconciled at all. Ronaldo will have played his last game for the club and by releasing this interview he will only have accelerated United’s planning for a short-term replacement in January, which was much needed anyway.

Finally, the icing on the cake is his condemnation of United’s facilities and lack of investment. It sounds as if he stopped short of taking direct aim at the Glazers which is a shame but the correlation is obvious. You will now hear ABUs like Piers Morgan and Ronaldo’s pals in the media repeating this, as it’s the only argument he has made that really holds any water.

All in all this is not a bad outcome for United and gives us a good opportunity to make a clear statement demonstrating that no player is bigger than the club. A statement we should really have made a year ago by passing up on the opportunity to bring him back.
I totally agree with you and it will be perfect if the club makes this short statement: "Cristiano Ronaldo is suspended until June 30th 2023."

PS: Regarding the club facilities Ronaldo is lying pretty badly, he left in 2009 and the training ground has been largely revamped during that time with new facilities and also a complete change of the grounds.

He also did what Ronaldo has done & had a go at the standards of the club which some fans will cling to more than the rest.

I too could see Keane trying to defend this nonsense.
To be honest, I thought this would bring clarity to most, but seeing the impressive mental gymnastics of his defenders on here, I'd not be surprised to see Rio also defend this

They're afraid if they speak badly about him they won't get a handshake from him! :nono:

We mutually terminate with no payments in January or he can rot with the reserves until June. feck him.

Yes we haven't progressed much since Sir Alex left, but surely that's obvious to everyone and their dogs 2 years ago? You still decided to take our 500k a week no?

Piers Morgan just confirmed this on TalkSport but didn't give any details on what was said.

It sounds stupid but… the only quote (so far) i have a problem with is what he said about ETH. Given his reputation it can help us to put some Spotlight on The Glazers

Very telling he says they want me out.

he doesn’t say - I want to stay.

just get rid and close the door on this. It’s a real opportunity to galvanize the squad as well.

The funny thing being it's probably on them that he's here. Talk about shooting yourself on the foot.

If I still hear "Viva Ronaldo" in the stands after all this, I am done.
You will. People still cheered for him massively after his most recent reiterations of his status as a massive cnut. Not sure why this time would be any different.

He "apologised" and then did this a few weeks later. Shows how contrite he actually was and how little respect he has for anyone but himself.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
I still love it when he tries to show someone up on Good Morning Britain, and he asks them what's pythagoras theorem to 5 decimal places. Then he recites Pi, and a woman in the audience saids "That's pi!" he gets all flustered.

He's someone that tries his best to stay relevant. Today is literally Piers Morgans best day in about 20 years, that he thinks people really care about his opinion and he has to use a washed up Athlete to get an audience.
What a nob… and he was wrong with 3.147

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

Ronaldo's comments on how things hadn't evolved at united is quite damming, and needed
Except it isn’t needed. The stuff he’s moaning about was upgraded last year after he moaned about it which has been widely reported. Ragnick was an awful appointment but now we have ETH and after spending 220m in the summer we appear to have both the manager and basis of a squad to get back to where we want to be. The biggest issue we currently have is playing a past-it toxic egocentric cnut up top who can’t move and seems hellbent on going to war with his manager.

Only works if this snowballs into getting them out. Otherwise, they just used him for a couple of years to make a shit load of PR money and shirt sales.

The worst part of this is Piers Morgan will absolutely be loving that United is being proper scrutinised all the while his beloved Arsenal sit at the top.

Yeah. It helps that it's right after our last game so it's the least disruptive too.
It will allow Eth to get a striker replacement (even if it ends up being summer but we take this more serious now)

Hell, I really could go even further and say that no good human being would support him. Ronaldo is personification of values I've been taught from childhood are destructive.

It's not that as if he is doing anything on the pitch either so might as well suspend him until he is gone next summer.

For someone who seems to live and die by his warped view of "respect". He's shown no respect to RR whatsoever. There's such a thing decent people understand as professional conduct. Ralf hasn't had a bad word to say about him, not in public anyway. Did he really need to throw him under the bus? And his comments suggest he didn't respect Ralf at all while he was here.
The man is becoming a bad apple, time he was removed before it is too late
Becoming?

This interview will be the death of Ronaldo at United, which is best for both parties.

As many others have said, I'm happy for one thing, and that's the fact he chose to call the Glazers out on the lack of investment in infrastructure.

However, to claim he was shocked by this upon his return to the club is laughable.

Anyone of his stature would, you'd like to think, have enough intelligent people around him to ensure due diligence is carried out with regards 'the package' when considering resigning for the club, so it needn't come as any surprise when he turned up at Carrington. Sure, there's hundreds on here that could have told him!

Of course what's most likely is he entered into contract negotiations and once him and his pet Mendes got to the figure they desired, the gleefully signed the papers without a second thought for any ulterior aspects.

It's just an excuse. Another in a long line of excuses.

Ronaldo is such a weapon. Only way he can redeem himself is if he somehow buries the Glazers alongside with him. That would be a glorious outcome.

I think the club should consider legal actions against him and end his contract in a way we pay him nothing.

Agreed. Ronaldo is a selfish man. Great player no doubt but a very selfish person.

We have see it for Real Madrid where he does not celebrate other players goals, we have seen his tantrums and now this.

The funniest thing is, he calls out a manager for not respecting him but was made captain last week.

There are people like Goldbridge who can't find their way out of Ronaldo's arse so you will definitely hear that chant.
Why is this guy getting so much attention? Like a nobody who just popped up because he goes overboard on his tiktok videos. Honestly people should just stop giving idiots like this attention and they'll fade to irrelevance sooner or later

I imagine this interview was done a while ago, unless I'm mistaken.
