Morgan is a Gunners fan, and full of shite, firstly he's needs to be banned from OT if he needed to go there, secondly we need to make up a song that can be sung about him evertime we play the Gunners especially at the Emirates. Ronny in years to come realise he's been taken for a ride like Morgan does to most people for self gratification. That doesn't excuse Ronny for being a utter twat for doing the interviews.

So dramatic, no one other than Ronaldo is ruining their reputation or being driven through the mud. No one is thinking any less of Ten Hag, even the quotes are nothing.

If our childish fans think an ex-player having a difference of opinion is enough to ruin their reputation or insult them it says more about those fans.
Rio and Keane have been for sticking up for him. Rooney and Neville have been snubbed. Our club even though we already knew it has been called a sht hole. Not good for recruitment. And on and on. Im not saying its the end of the world but its not exactly shining a good light on Man United is it. And at the center of it is Piers Morgan

The worst part of this is Man Utd is been dragged through the mud - The club, Ten Haag, Rooney, yes even The Glaziers and even Ronaldo ruining his Man United legacy and so on. The fans argue against each other. The players, even the Portuguese team are disrupted. Ex players are ruining their own reputation and being put in difficult situations. And on and on. And while everyone is being fkd up Piers fkn Morgan is sitting there with his smug smile and a cigar, raking it in and laughing his arse off.
A good analysis of the situation. The aspects about the tragic death of his son being teased and drip fed for maximum exposure as well only add to how distasteful the whole thing is. Still sinking in how much of a shocker this situation is.

Anything about Morgan’s past indiscretions involving phones etc to highlight what a monumental shitbag of a person he is will do.

It's actually made me hope Arsenal choke soon. Feck them.

He doesn't have to.

There's no reason to believe that ETH doesn't have the support of the only people that matter ultimately.

I mentioned Robson before for a reason: he's an official "ambassador". You can safely assume that he's toeing the party line. I'd like to think that he genuinely likes ETH's style, of course - but it doesn't really matter: there's no chance that he's pro ETH whereas the club as such is pro Ronaldo (to put it like that).
Just look at the official statement, which was surely released with Joel's blessing:

"Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans."

That reads to me like ETH is being backed 100% and Ronaldo will not be allowed to provide a distraction.

In Hindi, Madeira ( or Madira) even means wine. Because it was the Portuguese who introduced it in India when they set up trading posts.
Is this true? Madira does not necessarily mean wine. It generally means any intoxicant.
And my understanding was that the word was derived from the Sanskrit word Madhu, which literally means honey, but could also mean intoxicant. Sanskrit is a branch of the Indo-European languages so cold be related to Portuguese in some way, but I doubt if we could claim that Portuguese gave the word.

It is not clear cut like some other Hindi words like Girja (for church) and Padri (for father-priest) or Almari (for cupboard), which are all clearly taken from their portuguese words.

If he refuses to forego his money, we have no choice to pay him, unless the lawyers can find a breach on contract from his interview tonight
Well, he's still under contract so we hold the cards here. I don't know the legal side of things but I don't think there's anything stopping United from just basically ignoring Ronaldo and making him train alone for the rest of his contract.

It would be incredibly easy getting rid of him. He only trains by himself, name him in the reserve squad. He refuses to go, he gets a disciplinary. Do it again and he's gone. Simples.

Madira does mean wine. Sharab refers to any alcohol and nashila would refer to any substance that makes you intoxicated. Madeira wine was widely drunk during the British rule by the Brits and came to be synonymous with wine in India.

To add to that list of words you mention, the Hindi of towel also comes from Portuguese.

What is the best way to get the info from the interview without giving Piers a watch?

Likelihood he’ll just stop turning up. We can fine him, won’t make a difference to his bank account, but the circus around it will affect our team and manager in our fight for top 4.

Best he can hope for is a CL team decides to take him until the end of the season, can either be a loan or free on 6 month contract. Even then any that are interested will likely seek the loan option to try and get us to cover some of his wages.

Two things can be true at the same time. He was allowed an extra month for family reasons, but he was also using that time to try and leave the club.

It's disgusting they're using his kid's illness to mask the latter while suggesting, without absolutely no evidence, that United didn't believe him. I am sure United were suspicious, because chairmen from clubs across the continent were coming out and rejecting his flirtations.

Using a tragedy to try and whip up sympathy and mask being a massive fecking bellend is repellent.

Piers really wants people to watch the full interview.

He talks about him being 37 with the hunger to play but ignores his physical decline, speaks about his instagram followers it won't win you trophies.

Take him to Arsenal piers and lose your best chance at a title.

It's actually Madeira wine. I'm almost sure that the first time I heard about Madeira was adults talking about wine.
The first thing that comes to mind when Madeira is mentioned is To Madeira, CM01/02 legend.

Had to laugh on Twitter just now that self serving cnut Morgen saying that United is petty because the mural is being removed, the bellend doesnt seem to understand that the whole mural is coming down for the rugby world cup, no doubt he is after more clicks and wants to feed the sycophantic fanbois and give them something to masturbate over.

It’s galling to have to listen to Piers Morgan of all people trashing United. He’s acting like Ronaldo’s agent FFS.

Morgan’s opinions on United and Ten Hag are irrelevant (his football takes are often horrendous) and yet he gets to take to the airwaves and stick the boot in.

Stinks.

I’m sure this has been covered but what’s going on with the percentages in the poll?

Also voted should never play again. I actually like(d) Ronnie - but it’s a weight off the shoulders when he goes. I’d accept more shit if he was still 30, but not now

I hope our Twitter announcement when he leaves is an absolute burn. No room for sentimentality when we announce he's fecking off to play in an inferior league.

It's not possible unless he's said something in the (carefully scripted) interview that is grounds for a sacking without pay. I presume a mutual termination of the contract would allow Ronaldo to leave and go wherever he wants and we wouldn't have to pay him which is the best outcome, but it depends if he wants to leave that badly and forgo the money.

We could learn a thing or two from Barca

It will make a difference to ours if he did that. As I've said, a contract is binding, there's nothing to stop United from telling him to train on his own until his contract runs down. People will say it's a distraction but if he's not involved in team meetings/training etc. then I don't see what's wrong with that. For me the club has to look strong over this. The idea we could pay to get rid of a tw*t who doesn't want to be here is revolting, especially when ordinary people are dealing with severe economic hardship.

I still have this weird feeling he ends up at Newcastle. Saudi money and while Wilson is having a good season I could see them talking themselves into the perceived marketing boost.

I think it would be a disaster for them and would take them out of top 4 as well, which is why we would happily facilitate it...
