IN another era Piers Morgan may have been trying to hack Ronaldos phone to find out information about his sick children, allegedly.

The guy is narcissistic enough to name his own son after himself, nobody should be surprised at what he's doing.
Looking forward to see what the club does, hope it's swift and brutal.
I’ve gotta say, I’m surprised. I knew he was a narcissist and I’ve never really liked him, but this is utter delusion now and I think it’s gone beyond his normal narcissism (perhaps the death of son had significant mental health impact on him).

I honestly thought he’d be grounded enough to understand his role at the club as a 37 year old striker at the very end of his career.

It also obvious he has a heavy dose of paranoia on how he’s reacting to perceived slights.

And yet we didn't fire Greenwood
Nothing has happened where we have grounds to fire him yet. Ben Mendy is still a City employee. They can't fire him yet.

Speaking out in the media against your own company is a standard part of your contract where you'll get fired if you do if. It's no different for footballers.

You have no way of knowing the details of his contract :)

There is always a scapegoat at the club in the media, however just or unjust. Since he arrived it has been Ronaldo. It will be someone else once he leaves, but you can be sure it will be someone.
Okay but that's part of being a huge football club. I mean Maguire has been the biggest 'scapegoat' over the past 2 years anyway. My point was that you said Ronaldo was a scapegoat to beat Ronaldo which made no sense anyway

No, Maguire was never criticised in the media and still rarely is - he was criticised by fans. Pogba was scapegoat before Ronaldo.

They need a stick to beat United with is what I said.

I hope it's just sunburn but I hope Rooney is doing alright. Looks very red and bloated there.
He does look like he can have a great second career as a bouncer. That tux and shirt collar looks mighty tight!

It's win-win as we get him out and he gets what he wants. He will be delighted unless he is punished further

I am very petty and feel if we can prove he has breeches contract or whatever, just suspend him without pay for 6 months. That would be his worst nightmare
For a couple of weeks, until he gets a rude awakening in January that no Champions League teams want to sign him even on a free.

The common thread being that both Pogba and Ronaldo demand the focus on them, make everything about them, it is only natural that when things don't go well that focus does not disappear

Ronaldo hasn't been a scape goat he's overly praised if anything. He's been called out now because he's playing and behaving like trash.

Also you didn't write that. It's fine to admit a typo ffs.
By the way, the English media's main reason for criticising Ronaldo (from the outset) was as a stick to beat Ronaldo with.

Once he leaves, watch the vultures latch on to ETH. He will need our full support.

If we terminate his contract it will not be free, still due a fee under Bosman due to retaining his registration

This.

His contract with the club might be over but the registration is Uniteds until the summer i believe.

Just saw someone say we could legally trigger the year extension and make him train with the reserves until July 2024

Apparently Simon Jordan has absolutely handed Morgan’s arse to him on TalkSPORT, anyone hear?

But Greenwood hasn't brought the club into disrepute...yet. He is alleged to have brought the club into disrepute. If it is proven, he will be dealt with severely.

Ronaldo has literally broadcast his disrepute to the world. Open and shut case.

Does anyone think that the fact that Messi is still phenomenal is causing all of this? If he had fallen apart a few years ago, Ronaldo might be a bit less insecure now but the fact that his main rival is still a top 5 player in the world (at worst) while he is fit for the glue factory must really gnaw at his ego.

If Argentina win the WC, Ronaldo may need to be committed to an asylum.

Disciplinary Process > Findings > Termination or fine in excess of the standard two weeks. I think Kolo Toure and Joey Barton have both had 6 weeks in recent years.
