I know a lot of Koreans and none of them are bothered by the dancing at all.

From this thread however, the British are absolutely fuming because some Brazillian lads celebrated scoring a goal by dancing. Some of them even wished for those who danced to have their legs broken. You lot are fecking bitter and miserable, learn to enjoy life a little bit.
I don't see what all the negativity by media regarding the dancing. My best memory of USA 1994 was Romaria & Bebeto doing the baby cradling on the sideline. Its in their DNA part of what makes them individually magic on the pitch. Wish media would just accept brilliance when its presented and less of the boo ha. Gosh, last night Portuguese victory was overshadowed by " oh is Ronaldo celebrating or not celebrating the goals" ,enough already.

Probably been mentioned already but the whole country loved Peter Crouch’s robot or what ever silly antics Jimmy Bullard was up to back in the day.

While that might have been the case 30 years ago, not so much today when you take into fact most of their squad play in Europe for the top end teams and play CL yearly as opposed pre 90s.
I mean go have a look at the stories from the squad, the likes of Richarlison, Antony etc..

Just because they play high level european football, does not mean the world cup isn't their biggest dream.

I still remember Brazil 3rd choice goalkeeper was happy as feck when he knew he was being selected for WC 2022 Brazil squad even though he knew he won't even get a min of football.

I think people are too relaxisidasical about this whole issue

Imagine Brazil kicked down your door and started dancing in your living room, would you be fine with that?

he runs through the door, a claymore goes off. your son has just lost his killstreak on call of duty, tears start to well in his eyes, you avert you gaze, you’ve never been proud of him but you’ve never been this disappointed, all of a sudden, richarlison starts pecking around him like a pigeon.

half of the caf: “yeah that’s all fine.”

All the pundits claiming disrespect is probably too far, but it is cringy as hell. Paqueta's dance especially had me internally cringing.

Doing it for all 4 goals, and getting the coach involved is probably a bit much. I do wonder do they just hide behind the whole "culture" argument? Did Brazil teams of the past dance? Genuine question, as I can't quite remember.

I'm sure the likes of Cafu, Rivaldo and Co were a lot less cringy compared to the likes of Paqueta, Neymar and Co, who look more like they're auditioning for a boyband instead of celebrating some cultural thing.

....dude, I watched WC 2002. What Rivaldo (great player but difficult personality) did in a certain match was way cringier than such harmless fun celebration.

The bitterness is still flowing here I see  What these Brazilian ruffians need is a stiff upper lip and to just stoically "get on with it" after scoring

If you want to stop Brazil from dancing, stop them scoring

All this stuff about disrespectful behaviour; diving, feigning injury, etc now that is disrespectful behaviour

They can dance if they want to
They can leave pundits behind
'Cause pundits don't dance
And if they don't dance
Well, they're no friends of Tite

If anyone finds a dance offensive they need intense therapy because they have problems. There’s a lot of things going on in this world for someone to be offended for another person showing pride/happiness/enjoyment.

They wont win the WC with all the dancing. Dance after you win the cup, absolute nonsense.

i like it and enjoy it. However for Brazil, I’m afraid it will end in tears. When they won in 94 and 02, their teams where marked by a more ‘boring’ levelheadedness and focus. This swagger has the air of 1982 and 2014 about it.
And there you go. No prizes for that "prediction" though. :D
