I don't blame them. I have many reservations in terms of SJR's ability to manage this club correctly but there's no doubt that the man is a top notch business man. This guy has been buying/selling assets since at least the 90s. His offer while more generous then Jassim's comes with many terms and conditions attached (buying shares at a premium at later stages etc). The risks of SJR taking them to the cleaners at a later stage is real. Jassim's offer is 'cleaner'. He pays the money in a lump and they'll all feck off. If they can persuade him to pay as much as INEOS do (or close enough) then I can see them opting for the Qatari.
Can they persuade him is still the question

Then technically he is at fault for fecking over our summer because he decided to play games with the Glazers. Especially if he could've afforded it from the start.
I agree but in all fairness the future of the club is about more than just this summer.

Would also be nice to see that Jassim actually exists. All we have is that same picture and the photoshopped one in Utd shirt
I imagine we won’t see much of him. He’ll probably be at a game once it’s done but after that I’d expect him to just be in the background.

Well he seems heading towards that direction. The issue is how long will it take and if they have the patience/time to wait till then. Its all a poker game here. On one hand they would want to make as much money as possible. On the other hand there is every chance that SJR or Jassim could pull out of this farce. In that case they'll end with only one owner who'll have every incentive to lowballing them. The Glazers are walking on a very tight line here.

I can't blame Jassim either. There is every chance that he's bidding against himself here.

I don't recall that one of him in the United shirt is photoshopped. Apparently it's a leaked photo from a friend of his Instagram story.

So when do you see it swinging conclusively in Qatar’s favour because everything right now is still pointing to Ratcliffe
Well I might be completely wrong of course and will have to look silly. But there is no timeline on this game of chicken and the INEOS bid has to be real for this to work. At some point the Qataris will get fed up with looking like chumps and say take it or leave it. And the Glazers will most likely take it. So it's as long as the Emir's patience.

There's plenty of other photos showing him preforming pilgrimage (Umrah or Hajj) & pictures of him at business conferences. The newspapers have just been lazy to do any digging. I'd like but I dont have enough privileges

Plus the huge business opportunities SJ bid will offer them in the Middle East with their Cricket and NFL franchises

Honestly if I was an advisor to the Glazers I would tell them the following. Unlike your good self whose wealth came straight on your lap, SJR is a self made man. Don't go into a long term deal with the guy as he'll probably screw you over.

We’re broke, cuz they’re greedy
We’re poor, cuz they’re rich
Weg’s tall, but he’s useless, yeah
The debt’s high, but they’re staying
Jim’s in, and we’re underwhelmed
Jassim’s lost, but we’re hopeful, baby

And what it all comes down to
Is that it’s gonna be just like Nice, Nice, Nice
'Cause Jim’s got one hand in our pocket
And the other one is giving Avram a high five

Joel’s drunk, but we’re sober
Our captain’s crap and he’s overpaid
Pep’s wired, on something, yeah
Fletch cares, but he’s clueless
FFP’s here, but it’s fooling none
Jim’s won and I'm sorry, baby

And what it all comes down to
Is that the Glazers are gonna be quite alright
'Cause Jim’s got one hand in our pockets
And the other one is flicking off Darcie

And what it all comes down to
Is that Jassim hasn’t got it all figured out just yet
'Cause he’s got one hand in his pocket
And the other one is ripping up a rainbow sign

Bruno dives, but he’s focused
Martial’s crocked, but he’s wise
Luke Shaw’s not fat, but he’s big-boned, baby
Klopp’s sad, but we’re laughing
Arteta caved, cuz he’s chicken shit
Varane’s old, but he’s pretty, baby

And what it all boils down to
Is that no one's really gonna come and clear the debt
Well, Jim’s got one hand in our pockets
And the other one is holding a Brexit sign
And what it all comes down to my friends, yeah
Is that everything’s gonna be just like Nice, Nice, Nice
'Cause Jim’s got one hand in our pockets
And Jassim is hailing a taxi cab
10/10 for effort.

That’s ridiculous by the way. Why do they do that?
Be up front, not rely on doctored images and made up stuff.
That QatariFC tweet about the INEOS car crashing in ‘qatar’ when it was actually a Mercedes in Monaco pissed me off too. It’s all so murky and sketchy. It’s pathetic.

£5.5-5.7bn is more than Radcliffe, cleaner and less convoluted with the put and call offer, it’s seriously messy, plus the Glazers also own A shares and would receive a premium on those, rumoured to be 1.5% to 4.25% it’s hard to say as some of the Glazers have cashed out sone shares. A Full sale is the cleanest and doesn’t mean that the all100% of the shares have to be sold in 4-6 weeks, they can offer a premium for Class B Voting shares and then a smaller premium for Class A shares in October or November.

Currently the rumoured bid from SJ is £5.6 billion but £800m is for training ground upgrades, Stadium and squad development do the true offer is £4.8bn, that’s simply not enough, I think £5.5bn is enough but we’ll see ?
Other reports say the £800m is to clear debt. The lack of transparency means that everyone is just guessing. It really is a shambles from a fans perspective.

It's late in the evening
She's wondering what clothes to wear
She puts on her make up
And brushes her long blonde hair
And then she asks me, "Do I look alright?"
And I say, "I can’t say, United Sofa online says that’s Misogynistic”
 that gave me a laugh. Thanks.

Amazing how you're having a go at people not getting it but you yourself don't seem to.

Price per share is the only number that really matters. Right now as far as we are aware....Qatar haven't gone above Sir Jim. If they do they will get hold of the club most likely unless Sir Jim goes higher himself.
It’s illegal to offer a price per share for the 31% listed stocks. Can only be done via the NYSE.

Is it normal for bidders this big to be toyed with the way Glazers are doing?

Surely there is some clarity behind the scenes.. They cant be waiting for this long without any feedback...

Why? Deals like this normally take much longer.
I don’t doubt that they do.

but here we have a deal where it’s been fairly clear what the asking price is from the start of the process.

I don’t buy any of the stuff like the Glazers are waiting for such and such an event to announce things with Sir Jim to avoid any kind of protest. That’s always been a red herring for me quite simply cos the Glazers could care less about such things. They have had protests since day one of their ownership so another one isn’t going to rock their world. This leads me to believe there is no deal with him.

In terms of the sheikh it’s more or less the same - he hasn’t met the price and there is no deal there. At least at the minute. If there is a deal to be had I’d still wager it’s with Qatar though.

But One, two or even all three of the parties are bound to lose patience sooner or later the longer this drags on. And we could be right back where we started.

So we shouldn't take any notice of Sky News last week saying Ratcliffe is still favoured
No, take absolutely no notice, Sky are rubbish.

There is actually very few good sources around, they all talk bollocks for clicks and views.

Someone might correct me but I think the journalist who broke it for sky news (not skysports) is the same guy who broke the original story in the OP of this thread

Apparently he’s very reliable, if it’s the same guy

The day City are winning it, because our news will massively overshadow their illegitimate trophy haul..

It's being run on very simple maths if you understand it...

https://web.stanford.edu/~jdlevin/Econ 286/Auctions.pdf

2.1 A General Model • Bidders i = 1, ..., n • Signals S1, ..., Sn with joint density f(·) • Signals are (i) exchangeable, and (ii) affiliated. — Signals are exchangeable if s0 is a permutation of s ⇒ f(s) = f(s0 ). — Signals are affiliated if f(s ∧ s0 )f(s ∨ s0 ) ≥ f(s0 )f(s) (i.e. sj |si has monotone likelihood ratio property). • Value to bidder i is v(si, s−i).

c. middle of next season, just after the January transfer window after we haven't signed anyone and we're lying in seventh place.

I know right. People should just skip straight to the numbers and it's all crystal clear.

In English it is roughly translated as fek everyone about until you maximise the chance of getting the best price.

I don't get the nfl thing. Tv deals aren't negotiated by a single owner and the NFL preseason is so structured, the Bucs aren't going to just jet off to Qatar for a week during training camp
