You’d like to think that Ratcliffe surely knows he’s being used to extract more money from Qatar right ? Ratcliffe should simply say that they’ve had his offer on the table for a month or whatever it is and it’s still the highest one even though it’s spread out so either accept it or he’ll walk away.
If all the Glazer’s have on offer is the current highest offer from Qatar they’ll be forced out as they know there’s no money left for them to bleed out of the club so it’d be cash out or watch everything fall apart financially, they know their ‘minority investment’ offers either aren’t anywhere near what’s needed or even exist so the bidders need to take control instead of letting it be dragged out.

They have to. It’s not financially viable in their business model anymore. They need to sell completely or a big chunk at the very least.

We are in CL next season, more exposure. They may think that with an extra 200M invested in the transfer market (money form the club) we can be even more exposed and touch the 6/7B.

A couple of weeks after round 3 (officially the final round of bidding - deadline 28 April), the bidders still had not received any feedback, but the Qataris were presumably hearing the same things as the media (ie that Ineos were significantly ahead and were probably about to be granted exclusivity) and therefore Qatar contacted the Glazers directly (bypassing Raine) to put in a new bid outside the formal bidding process that eclipsed their third round bid. That was on Monday 15 May.
Precise figures are hard to come by, but reports have indicated that the additional bid that the Qataris submitted directly to the Glazers, still falls short the bid that Ineos submitted in the third round of the formal bidding process.
A further two weeks have gone by and nobody has really heard anything - we do know that United's board of directors met on Thursday last week to discuss the ongoing process, but no resolution was achieved. It has again been reported that Ineos are still ahead (one assumes that the Qataris have one last chance to at least match the Ineos third round bid, but if they fail or if no '5th round' Qatari bid is forthcoming, I'd guess we'll hear shortly after the cup final that Ineos have won and Avram & Joel are staying on in minority roles - no more matches until August will minimise the potential for disruptive protests).

Maybe a lot of people are not considering the obvious; from season 24/25 the champions league expands to 36 teams and EPL is in line for an extra CL position based on their coefficient record over last 5 years. The EPL is almost Certainly getting 5 positions from next season qualification. For Season 24/25.
It’s time to start talking about the Top Five and I’m sure the Goblins will be explaining that under the new legislation the club would be a fixture in the CL as they’ve only been 6th twice and 7th once since the PL started. More room to negotiate on their pathetic behalf, more reason to bluff the two bidders that they might just stay with new found belief in ETH.

We haven't spent money like we've been satisfied with just scraping top 4. That's a result of poor recruitment on and off pitch and directionless club management.
