What a joke this is, South Africa being awarded the trophy as world test champions despite Australia hammering them 5-1 home and away last summer plus a 4-1 victory over England in the Ashes, simply because they have beaten Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, like thats a great achievement!

The rankings are merely due to the fact that the Aussies have been tardy in playing the crap nations as they would not bring about the necessary tv ratings.

I have yet to see any SAfrican claiming to be better than the Aussies. The rules is the rules and according to the wonky criteria we are number 1...

If u have a closer look at ESPN Samsung Ratings
which i think is more accurate..as it considers
all the factors like team strength pitches etc..
SouthAfrica are second to Australia not by a big margin...So proteas are up there along with the
Aussies
More over SA and Aussies are the joint Worlds champions according to the ICC...

He said that he went by the rules of the ICC, if they said we are best, who are we to dispute?

I heard Botham say that England were better than SA in tests. We'll have to wait till later this year then...
