Piss take.

If we get knocked out tonight its a blessing for me, as I'm well skint and could do without running the risk of anymore home CC games.

Surprises me that I'm actually not bothered. I guess its as much to do with the quality of the competition as my finances

I suppose it is supply and demand. We have limited space for visitors, and policing them is vastly more expensive than home fans. If Wolves fans buy the ticket the Royal Glazebums are justified with the pricing policy.

Personally I would prefer it if no Wolves fans turned out and taught the money grabbers a lesson but i doubt that will be the case.

Absolute fecking disgrace that, charging travelling fans £41, and for an early league cup tie at that.

Shame it'll reflect badly on the club as a whole when it's just the Glazers behind this ridiculous shifting of the prices (the cutting of our CC discount included). Bollocks to that. I'm still going tonight though, despite it.

I don't mind paying £41 for CL games or PL games, but for CC and FA Cup, they should be reduced.
I would much prefer a good FA Cup tie to the CL TBH. Maybe not early rounds against lower division teams but against a PL club you get a great game. Some of the finest games at OT have been FA Cup ties.

They could have done...I seriously doubt it however. Especially at a time when every other club in the league is lowering/freezing prices/selling CC tickets for ten bob.
That's it the ACS has put both United and the visiting club in a win win position and it's the fans who have to stump up every time!

If we get another home draw I think I'm going to opt out.

I can't justfy the expense this season.

possibly it is just a excuse but I'm sure if wolves was given the choice of having 45% of 76000 tickets sold at £10-15 or 45% of 60000 tickets sold at £30-45 I'm not sure if they would agree to take such a cut.
I was reading a Wolves forum and someone on there reckoned united wanted to charge them 35.00 but Jex Moxey went for the higher amount as it was more lucrative for the club.

£31 pounds would be too much, let around £41.

Still, the Wolves fans will get to see the stars of the future

Pisses me off this whole CC pricing situation.

So glad I didn't go tonight to be perfectly honest.

51k was reported on the BBC.
I'd say that was about correct, and also what was announced at OT. I would've reckoned about 50k by a quick scan of the ground. Pretty impressive considering we weren't playing a top side, it was an early round, and the CC discount had been terminated.

Too many daytrippers left before the end though. It was half empty by the end of the game; especially South Stand.

I'm considering it too

Especially given I never get an away, and now they're making the European aways trickier to get too

In fact they can feck off

It's the cup final thing that pisses me off.

If we get to the CC final I aint that bothered about going, last season was a bit pants in all honesty. It's an FA Cup I dont want to miss out on and we will probably only get 25-30k tickets.

I wonder how many opt in's there are?

If Wolves took 5,000 last night that would suggest to me there are arround 40-45k.

there were some right knob jockeys behind me in stretty last night. Be glad to get the regulars back, there were a few familiar faces around but lots with paper tickets so a fair few had opted out.

But the ACS does suck, makes you hope for an away draw next round!

You can opt out of the ACS now can't you? Don't think we can complain about that anymore.

It's the ridiculous prices that's the issue here.

You can only opt out of the CC ACS. FA Cup and European ties are still tied in whether you can go or not...

I like to apply for the aways.

Therefore my ideal position is an away draw (and I chose not to go) or we get knocked out early on.

Last season I was screwing everytime we got a home draw, which we did at every round. We played Middlesborough, QPR, Blackburn & Derby, thats 4 x £35 = £140.00, to see the reserves play.

I did derby away and the final as well but I won't include them as they were my own choice.

I can't justify that this season.

if it means no away tickets from the club then so be it!

its a bloody piss take nearly every other club reduced their prices last night, mind you city were charging only £15 and £5 for kids and they got only 24,000 and they played a full team, and all their fans come from Manchester ( well known fact !! ) anyway i digress, when we played Valencia there were 74,000 with reduced prices and everyone sat round me looked like they were not regulars and all with kids, so surely we would have got a similar crowd last night giving those less fortunate a chance to see a game,
I reckon there about 2,000 wolves fans last night cos it seemed like only a third of the top tier was full but that is a good turn out compared to the 100 Fulham fans at the council house.

They had a bit of a boycott going on apparently.

The 2,000 were scabs!

That's the cost for Wolves fans tonight and apparently there's a boycott on.

Although United supporters are paying upwards of that mind.

Talksport are leading with it this afternoon.
If just over 17million wolves fans turn up that would just about pay off the debt!

Anyone want to have stab at the actual attendance Weds night?

I have NEVER seen ST2 so deserted, must have been less than a third full.

Tickets sold were 51,000, but I'd be surprised if there were more than 35,000 in the stadium.

Does tickets sold include those in the ACS, who wouldn't have bothered attending? I'm assuming so.
Yes. I reckon around 15-20,000 no-shows who had tickets. And that's not including people like Imperial or Disbury who gave away their tickets for free so they wouldn't be wasted.
