“ If De Bruyne (£68m) has an off day, City have Mahrez (£61m), Sterling (£57m), Silva (£45m), Foden, Gundogan (£24m), & Ferran (£21m)

It's crazy that Gundogan cost them just the 24 mil.
He was troubled by injuries in Dortmund and that might have been the discount reason. But even there he was looking class.

It is quite embarrassing he is adding the transfer fees of Gundogan and Ferren. We have Fred who cost us more combined.
Should've gone in hard for both Mahrez and Gundogan. Seems like we ignored both. Gundogan 'cos he was coming back from injury at Dortmund and Mahrez, probably 'cos he only played (won the PL) for Leicester.

When City signed Gundogan in 2016, we signed Mkhitaryan and Pogba. Imagine if it was Pogba and Gundogan. And later signing Bruno as we did. That would be a world class midfield three.

Again in 2018, when City signed Mahrez, we bought Fred and Dalot.

Going back to 2015, I was crying out loud for KDB, but we got Scheiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Depay.

Either our scouts really suck or City have better allure for really good players while we get stuck with second string ones. (Pogba being an exception. Bruno turned out to be brilliant but no one really expected him to be as good as he is).

Dunno why people are crying, there is plenty of money waste in our own yard, the amounts we spend on brainless contract extensions is on another level.

On top of all that, people cry and wonder why for example Liverpool manages to sell their get rids for high amounts, while we have to gift ours away. Nevermind the part about improving some player or making him look good long enough so other club can come and drop 100m plus for it etc.

Their spend is like 1.5 x ours though + the moneyflow we dont see under the tables like we got to know with football leaks. Dont see why calling out financial doping should be labelled "people crying"

Not completely true. If say our manager thinks Lindelof needed to be upgraded it won't be easy as he cost 35m. Same fred cost 50m and we are stuck with him. The rule for our manager is they can't have a bad transfer as they are not allowed to make that mistake or replace that mistake. But for Pep he can just have 52m mendy as a social media mascot and can get new defenders. He need not play Ferran torres every game but we either have to pay 18 year old amad or 19 year old Greenwood or 23 year old James every game. He doesn't need a 42 m Ake to play for 4 months (I know he is injured)and no one bats an eye. 60m Laporte doesn't start games regularly but that is fine.
Your club has dumped Di Maria within a year, Lukaku after 2 years, Sanchez after 1.5 years, Mkhitaryan after 2 years, bought Matic, Fred, van de Beek (he will also be let go soon probably) and Bruno for midfield reinforcements, bought in Cavani for a stop gap because you guys are interested in Haaland, to top that off you've offered/offering Bailey/Jones contract extension who are crooked and gave Mata an extension who's barely played. Hell City won't even extend Aguero/Fernadinho contract who still have a little to offer. You still have 40m Mata and Matic on the bench, with 35m Bailey and 35m van de Beek. I'm not sure where this false illision comes from.

People are right the issue isn't money its down to imcompetence from the higher up (management) and the coaching and his staff. City is a state owned club, who won the jackpot, but the reality is there better run on all fronts at the moment. They've signed there shares of average to flop players, but they've also manage to sign huge hits, United barely any huge hits most avaerage to flops it can't get any simpler.
