It was almost inevitable that the first competitive match would be away to Liverpool - though I must admit I was expecting it to be City :smirk:

First home match:
Sat 25 Aug | Reading (H) | Leigh Sports Village | Round two | 12:00 BST
Annoyingly (for me) I'll be away that week so won't be able to go, but it's a nice timeslot (the men play Spurs on Monday night)

So a very tough start for us, and a tough group with three WSL1 teams. We only play once against each team (not home and away) and the top two go through to the knockout rounds.

Group Two North
Liverpool
Everton
Manchester United
Reading
Durham

Last season's league positions so you can see who we're up against:
Reading were 4th - WSL1
Liverpool were 6th - WSL1
Everton were 9th - WSL1
Durham 4th in WSL2

Just realised I'll miss our first home league match as well. Well, duh
Aww, we are looking forward to reading your reviews and seeing pics and vids. We have MUTV but better safe than sorry

Any other match goers?

While it certainly makes for the perfect headline, was hoping for an easier opening game than Liverpool.

Here's are all the groups in the League Cup.

The only teams missing in the picture above is Everton in Group Two North and Millwall in Group Two South (the reason they are excluded above are because both these groups have 5 teams, while the remaining two groups have 6 teams).

Won't be easy, but hopefully we finish top 2 in our group and qualify for the knock outs!

Nothing for certain but I might try and make a game or two. If I do I'll provide reviews and whatnot after I'm finished swooning over our women in red!

They are on sale now

I guess mostly they do pay on the gate - most WSL clubs do. United have been more cautious so far because they don't know how many to expect at Leigh - so they don't know whether to open one stand or two - they used two today.

Are either of those games going to be on MUTV? Cause they damn well should be. The more games broadcasted live the better that is not too much to ask. Hell it does not even to be live 100% of the time.

From MUTV schedule available for my country London Bees game is going to be live. Fingers crossed this is the case

No info yet for West Ham, because I can only see the TV schedule for 2 weeks. Will know in a few days.

The West Ham match just has to be shown as in my eyes it is the most important match this season after the Liverpool one. Good news on the match against London Bees and that is me setting that match to record.

They beat Liverpool away yesterday, but both teams are down the bottom of the league, so hard to say how big a threat they are.
