Florida’s and Mississippi’s bills in particular represent a new brand of anti-protest laws on steroids, creating penalties for a wide array of activities, from damaging monuments to obstructing traffic. The bills include measures that could encourage harsh law enforcement responses to protests as well as provisions meant to prevent local governments from reducing police funding.

The narrower Indiana bill would broaden the definition of rioting — which the Florida bill did as well — and would criminalize camping at the Indiana state Capitol. The Mississippi bill would also allow the state to strip unemployment benefits from anyone who pleads guilty to participating in disruptive protests.
So basically if you are poor, don't have a job and they feck you from everywhere you can't protest, while if you consistently don't have a problem to find a job and presumably less problems in your life so less inclined or have less reasons to protest you can protest because you wont care if they strip you from unemployment benefits. Deepen and deepen the inequality

Give it a few days. They’ll get some nutrition into him.

On another brand of lunacy, apparently multiple congressmen were in a minor physical altercation at the metal detectors today due tot their guns, forcing their way past the Capitol police, stating that the metal detectors ‘weren’t there for them.’

Nah, they’re precisely there because of them.

Careful there. You're sounding mighty commie. Else we might need to investigate you for any relations to chainuh.

Not surprised. How dare they apply rules to the chosen people?

Can’t wait to hear one of the lunatics actually say that they are wearing their sidearm so they can protect their fellow congressmen in the chamber, especially their friends on the other side.

I wouldn't put it past them.

"What you needed last Weds is a good guy with a gun. That's what you need."
They’ll start pushing hard for every congressperson to be armed, just like their fever dream of every teacher being locked & loaded.

Why is Senator Joe Mancin against impeachment?
Centrist democrats and moderate republicans are basically interchangeable. They're there to vote for the ruling class that bribe them, but not be so obscene about it. As opposed to hardcore GOP who not only vote for the ruling class who bribe them, but do it obscenely in your face and go out of their way to do evil deeds and spit in your face because they can.

Of course. The solution is always more guns. As bribed by the NRA.

If only the NRA hadn’t of shit the bed recently, there’s an ad campaign worth millions just tees up for them right now.

You know it's bad when you're not 100% sure whether a countries elected leaders bring guns to work because they want to protect themselves from a potential domestic terrorist attack or because they might want to join the terrorists and shoot their colleagues on the other side of the floor.

That Boebert lady especially seems like a proper nut, I wouldn't want to be in the same room as her if she was armed.

It's clear many are arming themselves now.
There's not really anything stopping the police from either refusing people to enter or arresting those who turn up armed is there? I know Trump and a lot of GOP'ers somehow think they're above the law because they've been elected and bloody love guns, but I would assume a functioning democratic nation with an independent judicial branch is in it's full right to intervene here.

He is not against impeachment, in the sense that he actually said that ‘Trump deserves to be impeached’. What he is saying is that the impeachment will make things more difficult for Biden who needs his cabinet approved and do the job. By spending time in this senate trial (which will be hold after Trump leaves anyway), there is less time to spend on the other things.

He also said that Trump should be persecuted from the judiciary branch.

Congress has already indicated if they expect it to get stuck in the senate, they will approve it but don't submit it to senate until after the cabinet, etc are through.

Impeachment can resume after that.

And recently mcconnell himself indicated he is open to impeaching the orange turd. They've been at war the last few weeks after all.

There really is no excuse.

I guess Gaetz and the QAnon gun nutter are two of them. Who knows who is the third.

If this confirmed, hopefully, they get expelled.
Id love for it to be Gaetz but he’s all fart and no shit.

Good point. But in this case, believable as they have been at war with each other since scumbag mitch abandoned the orange turd last month and GOP scum have been losing credibility everyday since then. It is plausible. Only time will tell.

Please get expelled, by elections held and democrats win. Please. Please. Oh well ... who am i kidding? They could commit murder and get away with it. Nothing's gonna happen.

No that is a convenient excuse, people will queue for food, for shopping, with proper spacing, and of course for vaccinations!

See above, queues can formed with proper spacing that do not present problems, just inconvenience

No, they should be worth nothing. if missing the personal turnout to vote is done merely for inconvenience, which is what you seem to be implying. Its not a load of shit, its 'sloth' you are advocating.
For citizens, being able to vote freely and in person is the basic requirement for any democracy, its a duty in many countries and thousands have died around the world to achieve that privilege. Missing work ... don't make me laugh!
Why the feck do you care how someone votes? It's the decision you make not a contest in proving one's own nationalism. My family hasn't stepped out of the house for 9 months. Considering my wife got Covid and was in the ICU as a result can't say I disagree with my 71 year father on being extra careful. So, no everyone isn't out and about for other matters.
