All at home.

Won: 0

Goals scored: 1 (penalty)

That’s what playing for 0-0s gets you. Cowardly tactics. Ole out.

If you disagree that’s fine, let’s not resort to name calling or personal insults, yeah?
Yeah but we're in the title race people keep telling me.

Let's support the team, no?
Some people find that very difficult. They just find a new angle to have a go at the Manager and team.

Wasn't that long ago that we were doing well in the games against the top clubs and struggling in the games we should win against the smaller clubs. We've fixed the later and done ok against the top teams, a draw isn't the end of the world.

2/12 from home games against City, Chelsea, Spurs & Arsenal this season compared to 10/12 last is a big drop off.

I will say though that this is going to be a very weird season for results and we are much closer to the leaders this time due to that.

I disagree with you.

We're 2 points of top of the table if we win our game at hand against Burnely. We got Sheffield and Leeds coming up. Both are extremely winnable. We're very much in the title race going into the christmas holiday.

Let's support the team, no?
Everyone is in the title race before christmas. It doesnt matter.

Do you think Southampton will be in the title race in March? Not very likely. Thats what matters. We dont look that likely to be within 5-6 points of the leaders at that point

Liverpool have just as bad of an away record yet were told theyll run away with the title..
They're joint top on points and have had half their defence and mid field out.
Imagine us with the same?

We have an injury crises every year? Plus Liverpool became average long before the injuries kicked in. Its like 2 away wins in 11 or something stupid.

Not true. Ole is excellent in big games. Fake stats. Not to mention fitness. And Sancho. And the fact that Ole is attacking manager.
Anyway, fake news

United fans making up excuses and being wrong with them for Liverpool just to have a go at our own manager. Could make the hypernormalisation thread

You don't need to, the table last year at a similar point would give you a clear picture.

Oh. Guess I'll stop cheering for the boys then. Thank you for clearing that up.

Yeah but ole is great against the big sides.....

Seriously if ole can't do well against these bigs sides anymore with his counter attack tactics and can't do well against the smaller sides as they are to hard tactically for him to break down then where are we going to pick up the points this season?
Yeah! We have only won 18 of 21 points against teams outside the traditional top 6 this season, 43 of 54 points since the start of February and are #1 in points won in the league in the same period. What was your point again?

Ah yes, the alternative league table again. When do we receive the title?

In the PL

Played: 19
Won: 6 (Spurs x2, City x2, Chelsea x2)
Goals: 18

Be honest, you thought it was better, didn’t you?
This is so lazy!

vs Spurs: 2W 1D 1L
vs City: 2W 1D 1L
vs Arsenal: 0W 1D 3L
vs. Chelsea: 2W 2D
vs. Liverpool: 0W 2D 1L

(vs Leicester: 3W 0D 0L)

Total: 6W 7D 6L (not including Leicester)

In this period Liverpool and City has probably been amongst the 4 best clubs in the world. The Arsenal stat's are the only ones not good enough, the rest is on par or above.
It's not like we've had a team where we were expected to crush any of these sides.

Dodgy thread and post!

The point of the thread was highlighting wins & goals scored though, hence why I followed the same pattern with that post to the OP.

Ole’s record against City & Chelsea is really good, decent against Spurs & poor against Liverpool & (inexplicably) Arsenal

But why ignore the fact that we actually have been the most consistant point winning team in the league over the last 10 and a half months and have been consistantly beating the lesser teams for a longer period of time now?
To me it seems that the motive for the OP and your posts here is to find angles to bash our manager with while ignoring facts that gives a more nuanced picture.

Why is it so important for you and the OP to speak down our performances and the manager?

If we had gone for it in all of the games we’d have probably beaten either Arsenal or Chelsea at least and have more points.

Draws are nearly as damaging as defeats. You may as well always go for the win.
If draws are nearly as damaging as defeats then City would be 2 points up on us right now, not 1 point behind us. A win is obviously always better, but sometimes a draw against quality opposition isn't a bad result...
