U11s are also at a tournament this weekend, they travel to Slovakia for the 'This is My Dream Cup', hosted by AS Trenčín.

1-0 loss to BFC Dynamo in the opening game of the nations tournament. Quite a young United team with numerous U14s involved. I think some of the usual U15s group might be with the U17s in The Netherlands.

Given the crucial stage of the season for u18, don’t think the u17s will be at full strength.

U15 results:

0-1 vs BFC Dynamo
0-3 vs DAC 1904
1-0 vs FC Hermannstadt
0-0 vs Banik Ostrava

Will play placement matches tomorrow

U12 results:

5-2 vs Burnley
2-2 vs Crumlin United

Final group game tomorrow vs Celtic with a point guaranteeing a spot in the semis.

U11 results:

1-2 vs Banik Ostrava
3-1 vs Newcastle
3-2 vs CFT Academy

Tournament appears to be in a league table format with 16 teams, so United still have another 13 matches to play across the weekend. Currently sit 5th.

Might be missing some players. The likes of Yonathan Merhawi, Josep Camacho & Diamond Osemwingie, who are injured, have also travelled to take part in the Auschwitz visit.

Any relation to Shola Shoretire? Also we have an Ibragimov in under 18s I believe? Are they related?

Brilliant, I always appreciate your youth stuff on here.

Did silva mexes leave? There was talk of a move to leeds iirc.
Leeds have taken a few of our youngsters recently.

Cheap goal to concede by the U-17s. We are pressing in numbers but with little intensity, making it easy to beat our press and cut us open.

U12s beat Celtic 3-1 & are through to the semis as group winners.

15s lost 1-0 to Slavia Praha, beat ETO Györ 1-0 & lost 1-0 to Liverpool today.

17s beat NEC Nijmegen 1-0 in their 2nd game at the Nexperia Cup. Camron Mpofu scored the goal but most of the credit goes to DeJonge-Seiros for an oustanding run & cross.

U12s lost on pens to Milan in the Robbie Keane Cup semis after a 2-2 draw. Really good game against a very strong Milan side.

They'll play a 3rd place play-off against Celtic or Wolves tomorrow.

2-2 draw with Malmo, goals from DeJonge-Seiros & Mpofu. Unfortunately that result is not enough to send us through to the semis as we finished level on points & GD with Leverkusen but lose out on H2H.

Really frustrating because with almost the last kick of the game Mpofu was sent clean through 1v1 but was then hauled back by the Malmo defender who started walking off the pitch before he'd even seen the card.

United have two more games tomorrow, first vs Aalborg & then Fredrikstad or Malmo.

Day three:

1-0 vs Admira Wacker
1-0 vs Sporting CP
2-1 vs FATK
6-0 vs Sparta Prague

United finish the tournament in 2nd with 11 wins, 1 draw & 3 losses. Dinamo Zagreb were the winners, 3 points clear of us.

U17s placement matches:

1-1 vs Aalborg (Shoretire) - loss on pens
1-1 vs Fredrikstad FK (Walker pen) - win on pens

Believe United had the youngest squad by a significant margin & they only had 1 natural CB available, so all things considered I thought they did alright.

Joe Deighton, Harlem McLaughlin & Edson DeJonge-Seiros the standouts for me. Emmanuel Ziro was also bright, as was Jaice Dore (except for a woeful Panenka attempt), who was probably the youngest player at the tournament.

Interesting that Alfie Walker has continued to start the majority of matches, looks like he even captained one today, despite agreeing a move to Leeds already.

U12s beat Celtic to finish 3rd at the Robbie Keane Academy Cup.

Thierry Pusey finished as the tournament's top scorer.
