Moyes letting him play without shackles is helping his progression immensely.

What a fantastic gem.

Utd would struggle to hold on to an 18 year old if we miss the Champions League this season? If you were being serious the. It was an incredibly stupid thing to say.

I don't think I've ever agreed with Redknapp before but he was spot on just now:

'He's not going to be a star, Ed, he already is'

Breathtakingly good.

No what I obviously meant was that finishing top four is crucial as bringing in top players to play around him is vital, he could be a player you build the team around, therefore keeping him long term. Not just He himself will leave if you dont finish in 4th, god why do I have to explain myself to the nth degree?

He's just so calm and unaffected by the game, he takes everything in his stride and has so many strings to his bow, the type of modern attacker we have been crying out for. He inspired us in that second half, dictating the game and orchestrating most of our best incisive moves.

A Crack Habit.
Alongside Welbeck a brilliant example of the type of player we need to be looking to bring in for attacking positions. Technically brilliant, intelligent and inventive with the work ethic to match. Excellent today.

Yeah some people are going OTT on you. I know what you meant. We already lost a prodigious talent in Pogba (and another possibly in Ravel). It CAN happen to us.

Because you didn't even come close to actually saying that.

Well yeah everybody knows that finishing in the top 4 is important. Just like it's important Chelsea don't get relegated if they want to keep their players. You're on a Utd forum at a time when the team is struggling and you're trying to cast a negative light on our biggest positive. What do you expect to happen?

Yeah right. We will lose someone whom we just signed on a 5 years of contract just like that. Pogba's contract had expired. As different as chalk and cheese those 2 scenarios.

I really am shocked people think Ronaldo was better at 18! Januzaj is miles ahead of Ronaldo at the same age if he might not become as good a player as Ronaldo has

Fair point, I was just trying to show that EssexRob wasn't being malicious, imo. Contracts will mean jack shit if Real Madrid want him.

Why?

Real Madrid aren't stupid enough to spend the money on an 18 year old that it would take to tempt us to sell.

He's not going anywhere.

Your exact words were we'd struggle to hold onto him if we don't finish top 4. None of this flowery nonsense you've since spouted was close to being implied.

Not necessarily. Did Liverpool let go Suarez in summer? and he is at a higher level than Januzaj obviously. Did we let Rooney go in the summer when he was unhappy, wanted to leave and is clearly more high profile player and more 'power' to dictate things? No. In coming years, we will be building team around Januzaj and he knows that and he will want that responsibility to grow further. Might not be our player forever, but if he can give to us what CR did before leaving, I will have no complaints.

His link up play with Shinji was the best work centrally I've seen this season from United. We need to see more of the two of them.

The fact that they are being compared alone shows how good Adnan is. I actually think Ronaldo was better at that age, but it hardly matters.

Do you think a front 4 of Kagawa, Januzaj, Rooney and v.Persie could work? I don't know how you'd get the best out of Kagawa with all 4 playing though.

Yeah. OK. Maybe explain your points better and stop blaming everyone else for thinking you are acting like a dickhead.

Queue GeniusMe to come and enlighten everyone that some dared question his pre-season view that Januzaj will play at least 15 games this season.

Play a narrow 3 behind rvp, with the fullbacks overlapping as they do anyway? I hope we use that against Chelsea but with welbeck up front because they can all interchange and are all excellent technically. If we play at a good pace with plenty of movement, which those 4 would do, then I don't think kagawa would have a problem fitting in. His problem always comes when we revert to the zombie passing and players taking 5-6 touches before releasing the ball.

No idea to be honest. Can't even think of too many times we've seen Januzaj and Kagawa together before today, but thought they complemented each other brilliantly. I suppose we could try:
van Persie
Kagawa Rooney Januzaj
Seeing as they've all played in these positions already this season. It'd have to be better in creating chances then we've been, right?

When he gets the ball you expect something positive to happen and that's just the kind of player he is. He brings so much excitement to the table, something which has been missing since Ronaldo. It's not just his skill or physical talents, he always has a clear picture of how he wants a situation to develop on the pitch and this is something players like Xavi and Iniesta gained much later on in their career.

You want a front four with loads on interchanging and nice one and two touch passing then you're probably better off dropping Rooney for Welbeck but unless you're SAF the balls aren't big enough to do that.
